Thank you we just returned home to Stockton from touring the campus....my daughter may be going there in the fall, she graduates from Lincoln Highschool soon
The lack of diversity in chico state is because of the location. Chico sits on the whitest part of the state and people tend to go to school closest to home. But if the school can do a better job advertising to POC things would get better.
In my 5 years living in Chico, not once did I think about race or skin color This obsession people have with it is ridiculous I had white friends, mexican friends, black friends, asian, indian, eastern European friends etc But at no point did I think about their race/skin color, I merely saw them as friendly humans....

Freshman 15 is when you gain 15+ pounds from eating unhealthy college foods in the dorm and dining hall. Literally all I ate my freshman year was chicken tenders and cup of noodles lol.
@@ernesto2622 I would say it’s pretty safe! Of course still be cautious when going out at night, make sure you are in a group. But overall, the city itself is pretty welcoming and safe. Everyone keeps to themself
