    Can anyone please explain to me why I often get several instruments appear in my editing screen when I try to edit midi notes. I'm working on one instrument and the others appear in my editing field and I can't get it figured out. Even if I click near the other instruments notes, the edit screen switches to the other instrument... WTF?
    Edit: 13:30 is the answer. Thanks.

    I appreciate your tutorials. And I hope you are well too. I am new to editing midi. While working on a project last night I quantized the performance but it didn’t seem to move the sustain pedal part. Did I not do it correctly or is this just normal. Thanks.

    Hi there. I was wondering if you could audition notes on the piano roll by clicking and dragging like you can with ableton and logic? I know about the listen tool but that's not really what I'm looking for. Thanks and love your videos.

    Hello Sir. I am one of your subscribers on this channel, from India. I know your work from Creative Sauce when I was just starting to learn Cakewalk. I have a question. FL studio has a feature "Snap to Scale". Does studio one has something like that as well? I have recorded piano notes in C major but want to change it to D major. How Do I do that without it sounding out of place? Do I have to record all over again? PLEASEE HELP!!

    In piano roll the arrow tool is more usable for me than paint tool , but i have some issue with it , so is there any way to change double press to make new note with one press !
    This will make a big difference for me
    Thanks

    Thanks Mike great video it takes some work to get into a deep dive sometimes. Think of an Overall Teaching using the flow of Logic into these micro flows of the greater task as often the logic gets lost in the Informational video , in that, it is breaking what the task-flow to achieve a bigger part of say a song part.

      You mean which note is A, A# etc? Just take a few minutes to memorise them. But maybe you meant something else?

      no just visually see all the notes on the piano roll or at least have the option to see them.@@svenmify

    Thank you so much. Could you please make a video on making a song without music theory knowledge; recording a vocal, then change it to a melody using melodyne, then use the vocal or midi melody to make studio one detect chords, then come up with a baseline. This would really be awesome. I know how to do this up to the point of making chords. I have an issue with making studio one extract chords, i feel it extracts wrong ones and since i dont have music theory, i dont know how to correct it.

    • @90rm4n8
      @90rm4n8 ปีที่แล้ว

      honestly, just learn music theory. i made music for some time without it but it really just does elevate your musicianship. use it as a tool and you’ll retain your creativity

    Yes another video of the piano roll would be great.
    I have a band and we use some backing tracks and a click on a laptop in a Studio One. I create a song file per set. I use the piano roll to transmit MIDI notes to a DMX controller where I have stage light scenes programmed. I sync light changes with our songs.

    Hi Mike. I watched to the end. I am fairly savvy with many aspects of S1 with 9 years of use, but when I listen to a tutorial I pick up things I was unaware of. I am a piano player/composer, and the PIANO ROLL is a page I spend most time on when making music. It is of major importance as a MIDI user.
    I have listened to many of your videos because I enjoy your presentation style. Thank you for your insights.
