I nearly always make my own earwires, but I occasionally purchase leverbacks. When I started working with wire, it was a great way to get accustomed to the different gauges and how to make it "go where I wanted it to". Earwires only use a couple of inches, so I could experiment without being wasteful. I have cup burrs, and files for finishing those ends, but my favorite tool, and fastest, is the Beadalon Battery operated Bead Reamer. It's cheap, and you can buy a set of Wire Rounder Burr Attachments in 3 sizes for different gauges of wire. And, the bead reamer actually works for enlarging holes quickly in beads and pearls. I usually prefer finishing by hand, but this little tool is wonderful! Thanks for the great videos, I am a subscriber!

These are so cute! Quick question; what can I use,if anything in place of the rawhide mallet?
You can use leather or cloth for a cushion and tap lightly.
What happens with the loops at the end of the beads?😅
