I know you have to say it because someone will try it, but I had to laugh when you mentioned "wear pants, no flip flops". You'd have to be pretty crazy to try in shorts. If you're using the weed whipper or tri-blade, you'd have a bunch of fun (emergency room) if you ran into poison ivy or oak. All attachments can throw stuff your way while in use, shorts?! lol.. In any case, I have a "hobby farm" with 60+ acres, 15+ of woods, we have the FS-361, and just purchased the FS-561-CEM. Love them! Haven't tried the weed whipper on the 561 yet, the 361 can handle 2 (power wise, per Stihl instructions) of the 4 weed whipper lines and the grass/weeds FLY, can't wait to try the 561 with 4 lines and the extra power!
I've one. It's absolute overkill because I only use it for cleaning paths and some edges. But for the price of 0 euro I ain't complaining. Since 4 weeks I have my own lawn, and now I'm looking for the kma 135 with weedeater head because the fs560 is too much. At my job we have the fs 490 and I can feel that it's missing some power versus the 560
Only think i am worrying is the weight when you carry that around 7 hours a day even few kilos make a difference and what you gain with thicker growparts you lose in places with the less thinks to cut where you benefit from faster moving. I'm using 460 and you can cut anythink you want with right technicues but ofc its slower in some instances. But 460 is so light you can easily run around a day and nothink is sore but after week using 490 my shoulder were absolutely shat😂
Sthil is good company but earning bad name in India as good products of sthil are priced high enough eg 560 price is high enough that in India one will buy 12Hp quality land tiller for such price. The product that sthil sell in indian market to compete with other product and price is low in quality, even can not last longer than cheapest brush cutter. People after use sthil low quality product do not buy it back as high quality products are priced high enough. 560 is 3.7 Hp but indian brands selling 2.7 HP brush cutter for 25000 indan rupees that is approx 2500 dollar. Europen product and companes will run out of business if they keep selling brand , know is time to sell products at least profit. Sthil should keep price low so people can experice what sthil claim otherwise it will be a brand only for Europe.

In the early 1980's I used a Stihl brush-cutter with 041 motor,it could cut trees of about 8 inches.
That’s what I need, roughly the same cc as the 561 actually.
