백악기를 호령했던 공룡 티라노사우루스!
몸길이는 9~13 m, 키는 5 m, 몸무게는 5~9 t에 달했으며
최대 30 cm의 이빨로 무장한 이 공룡은
초식동물들을 공포에 떨게 만들었습니다.
게다가 무는 힘은 3만~5만N에 달했으니,
티라노사우루스는 가히 당대 최강의 포식자라 할만 하죠.
그러나
이토록 강력하고 명성 높았던 티라노사우루스에게도
감추고 싶은 콤플렉스가 있었으니….(아마도?)
음…. 바로 이 볼품없는 앞발입니다.
앞발의 길이는 고작 80~100cm였는데요.
거대한 몸집에 비하면 정말 터무니 없이 작죠?
그렇다면 티라노사우루스는 어쩌다가
이렇게 작은 앞발을 갖게 된 걸까요?
