Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ (1925)
Directed by Fred Niblo ("The Mark of Zorro", "Blood and Sand"), the film was based on the 1880 novel Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ, 45 years before.
The film was later remade in a 3-hour length by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer in 1959.
This is from the 1988 restorations made by Thames Silents, Thames Television, and Channel 4 in the United Kingdom and was later copyrighted by Turner Entertainment Co. in the United States.
