      This is called compromise. In Israel, which has a way better electoral system that we do, there are >20 serious parties to choose from. % of national vote = % of seats, unlike in Canada. They then form deals with each other, since there is no single dominant party, and whichever parties can agree with each other become the government. That's the best form of democracy... many voices that are actually part of the government... not just one party that usually doesn't even win a majority of the popular vote.

      The Liberal-NDP alliance is technically the most democratic government is recent Canadian history, the combined popular vote totals for both parties represents over 50% of Canadians. This is a first for 21st century Canada.

    I think the Canadian’s that voted for these two will reap what they sow. Probably sooner than later.Unfortunately the rest of us have to suffer the consequences as well. I have a feeling that when the wheels fall off this train the Liberal & NDP type people will have a much harder time dealing the consequences of a bankrupt government though.

      And they are working together to keep the government running and passing policies for all canadians. That is the definition of how a minority government is supposed to work.       Instead of printing a dollar and getting a treasury bond, they'll be printing a dollar and getting a healthier and more empowered worker. If this is being funded federally, it doesn't really add to the national debt. Government handouts can weaken the dollar but government _spending_ does not.

    It is now October 9th 2022. The NDP did not get a dental plan, they got a tax rebate for dental appointments. I am disappointed in the NDP and Jagmeet Singh. They sold out Canadians for nothing! They could have given small businesses a tax rebate to include health/dental benefits for people earning minimum wages etc. We already have dental coverage for people in our low income systems. Please NDPwake up and call an election by January 2023 like you promised if we didn’t get a dental plan.
