i noticed the time zone thing right away. There is no way a show this detailed made this blatant a mistake. Therefore, I believe Bev was in NYC (or Eastern Time Zone somewhere) and she is lying, which means we cant trust anything from her. Also with the gun. They way she was holding it and aiming it gave me the impression she is familiar with guns and that its hers. So, why is she packing a gun when she goes to the training center? Of course, Bev could be a red herring. Same with the Brothers as the show sure seems to want us to think its them, but we are only half way done.

I’m thinking all the season one clues are misdirects for the moment. I don’t feel like we’re actually going to get any answers to any of the callback references in this season. With the way its progressing, I feel like the show is only going to have time to solve Sazz’s murder with no time to tie it all in to season one lose ends before the season finale. It seems like we’ll get smaller clues from Sazz’s desk that it’s all connected, but none of that will fit or factor in anywhere until season 5 when there’s another murder to solve.
@@Jinxed222 unfortunately I think that's probably the case as well. Sure maybe the finale may tee us up for some other mystery that's more overarching and maybe something sazz even knew about but there's so much going on it's hard to imagine how we are halfway done already
I really like the idea that Sazz wrote the script and it was stolen. Marshall being involved in stealing the script seems to be a strong motive. But I also think most of the Hollywood plot seems to be a misdirect and will end up being irrelevant like in season one with the Demas grave robbing side plot that ended up having nothing to do with the actual murder. Why introduce the westies and the ham radios? That could be the misdirect but it seems like we’re meant to forget about all of that as the season goes on and gets more into the Hollywood character story lines. Linking it all together, I could see Marshall as a potential stuntman and also the previous tenant in the Dudenoff apartment. That gives him a potential connection to Sazz, the concussions bar and therefore by extension Glenn, as well as the arconia, which could be the initial reason he’s so obsessed with the podcasters in the first place. Helga might also be a stunt person who has a connection to Concussions. Maybe Helga and Rudy were dating but after Rudy met Marshall through her, they bonded over both being broke frauds and killed Sazz to make money off her script. Helga figured it out and was like nope and got the hell out of there, which ties in the westie/Helga angle. It’s possible Rudy and Marshall are working together after having met each other through Helga, with her possibly being the person to mention Sazz’s script idea in the first place, and the other westies are just innocent bystanders who like to play a nice game of cards over toilet ham. Helga could’ve known and liked Sazz and didn’t want her to end up dead which is why she sounded so concerned over the ham radio. I could also easily see her being the last Dudenoff apartment resident, and when she found out about what Rudy and Marshall were plotting, she left immediately (possibly leaving the pig behind because it’s hard to take them on planes or clear customs or something) and they just used her apartment as the place to shoot from because it was empty and they knew the code to get it. Now if I could only fit Howard into this theory….
@@Jinxed222 Howard is and always will be the wild card 😂 I like your theory though! I definitely failed to mention the fact that perhaps Marshall lived in NYC before becoming a writer so he could have been friends or had connections with the westies for sure
For the time zones thing…your phone adjusts the time to whatever time zone you are currently in. So even though Bev was in LA the night of the murder, she is in east coast time when talking to the trio at the cottage so her phone would show the voicemail in east coast time. It seems like she has an iPhone and this automatically happens when you travel to various time zones. Nerds At Nite channel also confirmed that but I know from traveling this is not an inconsistency
Does that apply to old voicemails already received though? Definitely new voicemails after the time zone change, but does that change dates and or times on voicemails that you received before you switched time zones? Like, you still received it at 11:07 pm on a Thursday, so does that change like a week after the fact? I’ve never paid attention to if my voicemail received times change on old messages when I switch time zones, but it doesn’t feel like they do. I can’t seem to find a single clear answer anywhere online though.
I think actually, per your theory, that the idea of Glen being the target at the end of the episode actually points to Marshall being a killer 👀 Notice how Glen changes his tone when he realizes that he slipped his tongue when openly recognizing Marshall. Marshall knew he couldn’t be trusted with secrets, and so he killed him.
@@Nick-db1zp could definitely be the case! It is sus to me that Marshall is clearly shown walking away at the end of this episode and we do not see him in the moments before the shot, but I still question why he didn't just kill sazz in LA
Because Glenn says "when'd you grow the beard, LASSIE" (not laddie), I think he was genuinely confusing Marshall for Mabel. Honestly a good joke since the only other time he has encountered the guys was the day prior when they were with Mabel. Also speaks to Glenn not being mentally sound or having a great memory as a result of multiple concussions.
@@shannonmayes2294 it's definitely hard to tell sometimes what is a joke and what isn't on this show, I think I'd agree with you if it wasn't for Marshall's face who looked not confused but a little freaked out by Glenn. Could have been the accent spooking him though because it's still bad lol!
They may have encountered each other as stunt men, and all that that implies. But even if Marshall recognized Glen, Glen wasn't connecting those same dots. It Marshall stole his script, he would be relieved to not be recognized.
Your predictions (which I love) sparked a couple random and potentially unhelpful ideas. 💡(Warning: I’m still sleepy after a late night, so these thoughts may seem more brilliant to me than they actually are. 😉) - TH-cam sent me down a Jin Ha (Marshall’s actor) rabbit hole this weekend by recommending a video of his AWESOME performance of “Wait For It” from Hamilton. 🤩 I knew nothing of this guy before Only Murders, but his background is Broadway - and one of his relatively recent roles was in a well-known play (I won’t share the name to hopefully avoid spoilers), in which is character believably masquerades as a woman. Now, connecting that to this show, I followed Charles’ assumption that Glen mistook Marshall for Mabel because he called him “lass.” But you’re right - that IS an assumption and Marshall DID look freaked out, so…What if Glen knew Marshall as a woman? In fact, building off the theories you shared that Marshall was or is a stuntman, what if he always doubles for women, just as Sazz always doubles for men?? Regardless, let it be known as well that this actor also has experience handling a gun (from his role in Hamilton). - Also, I totally agree with your theory that Glen was shot, but my mind went a bit of a different direction with it: What if the target was actually Oliver, and these killings aren’t specific to Sazz and Charles, but to the trio (and these killer(s) are just dumb, I guess, and missed their intended targets twice), which is what sends the three fleeing to Charles’ sister’s house in Episode 7, before an attempt can be made on Mabel? 🤔 And I can’t leave without mentioning Clue! 😃 The “number of bullets” discussion is one of my favorite bits in the entire film! @@kaiwancallender2761 like I said, this season lowkey feels like a really funny yet persistent concussion lol I love it but also making videos about it is lowkey maddening to not have it be a totally confusing mess!
I did watch triple speed that’s why I didn’t notice it the time😅 see you later on the flip
@@kaiwancallender2761 I love that for you lol my adhd brain would be typing my notes too slow hahaha
As my ever supportive parents always say to me, are you even good enough to have imposter syndrome?
I'll fight your parents you're amazing!
Love your thoughts about the intern....if sazz wrote the script wouldn't she and bev know each other? We need the show to flashback the party so we can see why sazz went for the wine - that will be a huge indicator of who is victim and answer lots of questions.. Still not completely letting go of charles in coma theory... paradise, hells kitchen, oh hell game. He is so introspective this season and Oliver and Mabel seem to be (as you said of mabel) repeating themes of themselves. Just saying...
@@molliekatz432 my point was that sazz wrote it but didn't submit it, which is why Marshall was able to do it and take credit and bev didn't know about any of it. I also like the creativity with the whole Charles in a coma idea but it seems like that may make things really convoluted, kinda like Roseanne finale where it was all a dream
@@kitkatz3859 I agree about the coma thing but this season has a really strange vibe to it for me.
@@molliekatz432 could be all the bathroom related cuisine!
I think either the brother sisters ordered on a writer and Charles son or daughter that’s my theory is trying to kill him in somewhere or break ex-girlfriend of Charles Charles I think reference to the studio because they close it down that studio real life
I definitely could see this being not Charles Mabel and Oliver as the target, but they'll of course think they are because everyone is dressed like them. Would love a good secret child twist!
Where is Tobert???
@@madisonfreddie the way we dropped him with quickness and haste this season 😭 like we couldn't even visit him in LA???
