Queen of Eritrea God bless my mother tsahaytu
She was one of the few singers we grew enjoying. Her vocal is unique and she was born to sing. She was always been missed. It is sad that she had to leave her beloved country.
Thanks guys for recognising her and bring it in nice way to those of us who love her.
Respect to the Dutch people to put this out. Love to all of you
She is one of the best
Singers of Eritrea
and great example of the wome to free self and live confidently and liberating
herself from all of
The cultural oppressions of our society.

Very VALUABLE Video!!! - PLEASE edit the SOUND again! It is VERY poor. On my device, I put the volume to the maximum and partially still can hear barely what is spoken. Due to the IMPORTANCE of the Content, the SUBTITLE is also very NECESSARY. That needs to be edited also manually. Both (SOUND & SUBTITLE) could be added subsequently (later). PLEASE -> PLEASE do it🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

FYI She was born in 1933.
An Ethiopian Legendary singer !!
Eritrean 🙄🙄🙄
😮She was a proud Eritrean
Huh? Ethiopian? Do you know she fought against Ethiopian oppressors of the Derg and came with victory? She is shaebiya proud Eritrean
@@solomontesfamichael5321- she was fooled like you by the fake manufactured and funded agenda of independence by Ethiopian enemies costing so many lives and causing misery to the people of the region to date. Having said that Eritrea is an illegal fake nation created by the thugs Woyane and Shabia outside of international law of nation formation. The last legitimate status of Eritrea is being a province of Ethiopia as the confederation of Eritrea was nullified by the then Eritrean parliament which was the only legal body to do so. But I am glad people have gone thru this foreign experiment imposed on the people since it has proved to everybody’s face that it’s a fiasco. Like a child suffers if taken away from its mom and let wander in this harsh world.

21:04 The interviewers do not have any clue about Eritrean hospitality but are also sound very ignorant when they ask her about "food". If she served you food in her house, she was showing her hospitality for your respect. It does not show the importance she gives to the food. Even in globalized world, some people do not see things beyond their nose.
Dear Ghirmaiyy, I like to write to you to explain that we very much respected mama Tsehaytu. And also Eritrean culture and hospitality. We had a few beautiful years together with Tsehaytu, recording her CD, building a krar for her, accompanying her to play some important concerts and going back with her to Asmara after 24 years in exile to visit her older sister. There is a documentary about her on Dutch TV that shows a bit of our connection with her:
th-cam.com/video/8YACDSZzOpU/w-d-xo.html
It was not always easy to talk in Dutch, and that is what you hear in this interview. (This interview was meant for people who didn't know anything about Eritrea, but I don’t think it was ever used. It is footage of just one camera, it is not complete)
It is not a great interview, i agree, but I think it is nice to show anyway because of her beautiful songs! Greetings, Emma.
Grazie mille 🙏🏿 🙏🏿❤🇪🇷
