I'm gay and I think this is funny. I actually like how this sketch is totally relevant to today's society. Daffyd likes to play the victim and likes to be offended by everyone and everything, but people don't care he's gay and that really annoys him because he wants attention and to be seen as a victim. Everyone’s complaining about “the woke people” hating on these sketches, but I’m a liberal bisexual woman active in the LGBT community and I think the Davyyd sketches are hilarious and harmless, and I can’t imagine anyone I know would disagree. The whole joke of the sketch series is that Davyyd is surrounded by normal gay, lesbian, and bisexual people, but is still obsessed with his status as “the only gay in the village.” None of it is intended to mock the LGBT community as a whole, it’s actually some pretty impressive representation for the time; I love the gruff, blue collar older guy talking about wanting to join the gay rugby team 😂

For all the comedy, I still think it was awesome how Daffyd’s parents were 110% accepting the moment he came out - to the point that a stolen bucket in the newspaper was more dramatic to them. They even immediately began trying to fix him up just because they wanted him to be happy 😂
