- In this video I will be showing you how to plant, stake and care for your newly planted tree. I will be explaining step by step how to do so with helpful tips and tricks to get the job done. Its December and we are planting a 14-16cm girth stand rootball cherry tree "Prunus Accolade". Rootballs trees are available from November to April when the trees are dormant. After planting you may need a support system for your tree depending on the size and location. Here we show you how to install a double tree stake system with a rail and how to secure your tree with a rubber tie. I provide some additional information about rootball trees and I explain the key things you need to know about their aftercare for that year and the following years as the tree grows and establishes.
Hope you find this video helpful and entertaining if you do please consider liking the video, subscribing to my channel, and get chatting to me in the comments. Anyone who does so really DOES help the channel grow and is much appreciated.

Great work and love the way you explain everything so clearly . Thanks
Hey, thank you very much really glad it came across well 😁👍
Good work
Hey animallover thanks very much 😁👍
Your Karrimor trousers look very practical for gardening - what style are they?
Hey Keith thanks yeah I usually wear walking trousers for gardening as it doesn't restrict you when working. These are part of the Karrimor elite range I believe they are the Alpiniste style. Hope this helps 😁👍
Excellent info. Many thanks.
Bit close to the fence but I guess that is the trade off in small gardens! Get on with your neighbour if you need to prune from their side of the fence!!
Absolutely it is a trade off on smaller gardens otherwise it can make a small garden even smaller. There is enough room as I was able to prune the back of the trees without going to the neighbors 😁👍
