    Nicely demonstrated, the massive hook makes it easy to follow and the music with lack of commentary is ideal. I’ve been tying knotless knots for years but still enjoyed the video.

    Good to see the actual rig tying by using a bigger demo only hook .Mind you would work well for Cod :-) or other large seafish

    Oh so it’s basically a snell knot with the tag end left on. Thanks for the vid pal.
    Edit: upon further inspection it’s like a backwards snell knot.

    So Jamie, would you recommend this hook for F1's or Skimmers :) LOL

      It's not new mate it's for those people who don't know how to tie one 👍

    It's just a standard hair rig, no knot hair.

    You went the wrong way around the shank. The line catching in the small gap of the eye, Weak point.

      @CatchFishingChannel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It wouldn't be like that in real life mate as the line used is too thin for this hook it's just for demonstration purposes that's all mate 😀

      @@CatchFishingChannel Is that why all the other fishing shows, Show the line going the other way. If there is a damaged eye ( could be so small you can`t see it) then the mono could snag/rub when under pressure from a fish.....
      Just saying ...

      Was going to say the same thing. I’m an experienced carp angler having used the knotless knot years before the match boys caught on and even using much heavier lines we see that as a potential weak point. It should always be whipped opposite the join of the eye. Whether it would be enough to actually cut the line I’m not sure but why take the risk 🤷‍♂️

      It's important to tie the knot correctly or it can be severely weakened, good to demo it, but it has to be done properly 😉

      how not to tie the knotless knot....funny🤣
      learned the other day from The Hard Pellet MASTERCLASS how to tie the lasso loop.
      Now that`s a winner : No more need for silicone rings, metal spikes and plastic stoppers !
