Yes ive tried it several times, you only have a few seconds to use it before it gets stringy and starts hardening. Ive never tried isomalt tho, maybe that works better ?? I dont know.
Do any of these even work? Besides a very good handful of the chocolate ones. Then again, when it comes to the chocolate ones, they'll only work if you temper it or use compound chocolate instead. Other wise, it'll stay pretty for a little bit, until it starts to get all soft and messy. But in short, to everyone if you really want to do this stuff properly without the chance of wasting money or material. I highly suggest How to Cook That, aka Anne Reardon instead of these little hack videos because not only is Anne more experienced with this, especially with Chocolate, but she's also very beginner friendly and makes the safety and time of her viewers her top priority. Sure her videos are a little longer than these little videos, but I think it's a better alternative because some of these crafting videos can be dangerous as some of the tools and materials used can lead to serious burns if they're not handled with care and the proper safety procedures and have been proven to be disappointments waiting to happen, whether it be a waste of material or damage to your property. On top of that, unless these people have been experimenting around with this stuff to learn the trials and errors of the project and are showing you the successful way to do it, these people are often proven to be inexperienced with these things. And even proven to be lying to you, ala So Yummy and various others, by substituting the materials they claim to be using in these videos for completely different things to get fake results. Like the book one in the beginning. That's obviously done with glucose syrup, not hard cardy. Just a warning if you're planning on trying these. Also, sorry So Yummy snobs but, it's true. So Yummy aren't as...great as you think they are. It's been proven multiple times they've been lying to their viewers. Not to mention, that what they do in some of their videos can be downright dangerous. Their Caramels video especially. DO NOT TRY THE CARAMELS VIDEO. The procedures they use in that video is proven to not just be ineffective, but TO BE CAPABLE OF CAUSING SERIOUS BURNS TO YOUR BODY, so if you do plan to try it, be prepared for a hospital visit. And yes, I know this is plagiarized off of them, but I'll give Craft Factory credit on one thing and that is it looks like they've actually experimented around and improved on these ideas enough to give you a safer and in alot of cases, a bit more of a realistic tutorial on how to do these things. It's still bad ofcourse, after all, Plagiarizing is a crime for a reason. But atleast it looks like Craft Factory actually cares about their viewers to give them good and realistic results. I just wish they could do this stuff with their own personal ideas instead of ideas they've taken from others. But still, skilled professionals all the way. Ala Anne Reardon. That way, you know what you're in for, you know how to properly prepare yourself, safety procedures included and you know that you're getting a decent final product. Unless you're just, watching these for the satisfaction and entertainment value.
I just CANNOT get over the egg thing at 6:25. Like that's a whole chocolate egg??? Filled with powdered sugar glaze??? Sir????? My stomach hurts at the thought of even SMELLING that amount of pure sugar. Why not fill the egg with something reasonable? Like whipped cream or meringue and lemon curd? That actually sounds good. Jesus.
Yet another content farmer they just put out the same content to get views and likes so they make money heck some of these are repeats and quarantine is not an excuse for being uncreative many you tubers do amazing and creative content despite being in quarantine and yes they're struggling but at least they're trying to be creative unlike these, so yummy and other content farmers!
