This is an eye opener and I agree a person with high self esteem doesn’t quickly make negative assumptions where someone with lower self esteem would 😢😢

"Don't try to help people who don't want help" should be one of the agreements!

I think you need assumptions, more one should question them the whole time.

I think the issue is that people aren't 100% AWARE that they're making them. If they had the hindsight to ask "Ok, I'm not 100% sure on this but I've got a pretty good feeling, I should ask to clarify," then that would be grand, but what happens is that many opinions nowadays are formed on lengthy chains of assuming and self-perception, without consideration for the experiences and perceptions of the other person.

There’s a reason why you should NOT make assumptions:
The victim of a crime or bullying is automatically assumed to have “done something to deserve it.”
This is wrong 😑 because the victim NEVER has the chance to prove he/ she did NOT do anything to deserve it.
So without proof witnesses ASSUME the victim did something to deserve it.
So the next time someone makes an assumption, just ask them “Where’s your proof?”

The 4 agreements is a classic. You shouldn't make assumptions because it makes an...nevermind.
But seriously, we don't know about anyone's life experience and what has lead them to the decisions they are making. We are not God, and therefore, who are we to judge?
