  • In this toddler learning episode we play hide and seek in the jungle with Ms Catherine and her friends. Help us to find Ms Leigh and see what animals we meet along the way!
We explore early language concepts in this episode - with a focus on opposites. We learn about long and short sounds with Ms Leigh, big and small with Mrs Elephant and Mr Mouse. We practice quiet and loud with our drum and Bobby helps us learn to spot the different animal. All while we walk, stomp and sneak through the jungle trees! These concepts are important for describing and following instructions. Join us to help find our friends 🙈
We also explore emotions, counting, animals, tempo and prepositions!
Jiggle Jam creator Ms Catherine has a Bachelor in Classical Music and runs an award-winning toddler music program in Australia. Our new Toddler Learning series has been created with our resident speech pathologist, Ms Hannah! Hannah has experience in early intervention and paediatric speech and language. She brings her clinical experience in coaching families on how to promote language skills and provide enriched environments right to your living room!
You can extend this play at home by emphasising the location of toys or people in hide and seek like Ms Catherine… or take a walk and see what animals you can find! Help them connect this play with their real world experiences with nature and animals.
We know that the evidence recommends limiting screen time for toddlers and infants and at Jiggle Jam we agree - nothing is better for language development than adult interactions with their favorite people throughout the day! You are always your child’s best teacher, their favorite rockstar and VIP tea-party guest. But play doesn’t come naturally to many adults and we want to give you some tools to support your child’s language development and enhance their love of music - and we want to give you high quality educational videos to put on when their favourite people need a break!
If you are choosing screen time for your family, we want to be able to offer high quality programming that you can (and want to!) engage with! As with all screen time - this won’t replace speech therapy if your child needs professional support. But it will provide a fun, musical adventure for you and your child. Our videos follow a slow pace, lower stimulation animations, real life images and toys to help create these connections. We want children to be engaging with our videos, so you will see invitations for action at home, gestures, turn-taking, expectant pause and a lot of silliness!
