I absolutely love the statement that perfectionism is not the same as being perfected through Christ. I needed to hear that.

I love that he teaches that the Lord will also use our imperfections to accomplish His work. Nothing is lost.

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:"
    -Romans 3:23-24
Meaning that without Jesus Christ, we would all be spiritually dead. Also perfection is a very long refining process. However if we strive to exercise a little bit of faith to access his saving grace, we will eventually become a perfect man or woman. We all have human limitations both temporally and spiritually, but if we use Christ's gift of Grace to us, we can eventually become perfect through him! We certainly can't become perfect without Jesus Christ.
    Thankfully we have him!

As someone who is in a military training environment one can easily compare himself to another and not feel ready/adequate. Thank you for this talk.

I always think what can I do with my small abuitiy. This talk strengthened me to realize it might not matter what I do rather that I give my all.

These thoughts are so significant to me. I agree and believe that my efforts and contributions are small but what I can give. I know Jesus will make up the difference. I’m just happy to be part of the gathering of Israel. I happy to know Jesus Christ loves me and what I give counts for good. 😊

I love talks like this that are uplifting and full of faith and hope in Christ. Not talks that use shame and fear to motivate.

If we offer our heart to God, and to others daily, it will be a great harvest, that God will perfect or make complete!

Yes I wonder about the Harvest, if anyone has a food storage, if they do, do they have enough to share with others. Have food set aside for those who are going to steal all your food. You will have to separate that food from your own food and water storage. There will become a time when we will depend the Lord's help daily. If you have no faith, then you may starve.

This has been on my mind for a long time. Don't know exactly how it plays out for those that have been faithful, but it seems like the details of the 5 foolish virgins will play out in several unexpressed details on our way to the banquet.

@@garysanders8740 I know it’s more of the peace that you feel in having the food storage when you’re able but it’s also more like having the money for tuff times as well because it’s harder and harder to find a place to store food however if there’s space it is good.

Yes, the harvesting machine has limits. But a human soul has NONE. Very clever and false analogy to tell us we have limits just like that machine. Our ability to be perfect is absolutely limitless, our own choices and mindset the only obstacles. Athletes are encouraged to strive for the utmost perfect performance, they see no limits to what they can become and they do become extraordinary in their field. So why is being spiritually perfect any different? Simply because we don't want it. When we put perfection on the shelf, we render our lives on earth utterly pointless and a waste of our time and God's.

A person can be perfect at certain things... perfect at paying tithing, perfect at baking bread, whatever it may be. But we absolutely cannot be perfect. In your example, yes, athletes can become extraordinary, but they still are not perfect. They'll still finish second sometimes, drop the ball, or miss the shot. Of course, we'd all love to be perfect. But we have to understand that we're good enough as long as we're trying. To think that we can be absolutely perfect at all times and in all things only sets us up for anxiety and depression. Have you been a perfect disciple? A perfect parent? A perfect student? Have you served all of your friends, family, neighbors, and community perfectly? Of course not. And that's okay. I'm sure you're continually trying and your heart is always in the right place.
