They did two years ago at ROSFest and they are still puttering about. Yeah, Glenn on vox is awesome and Jim on keys is amazing....I love these guys and see them a lot at local gigs in MD and PA. They did this the first time I saw them and I was hooked!! Enjoy!
Iluvatar needs to make a comeback. These guys made some great prog in the 90's but then disappeared. One of the only neo prog bands that had a good vocalist and monster keys. Please guys, come back! :-)
I simply adore this song! It's my fave from their debut album. It is so positive, melodic, and has great vocals and soaring guitars sent down from the heavens. A must for any true prog-rock fanatic. =8^ )
I remember I took a break from prog rock in the mid 90's when I was in college. However, this was the first one I bought when I returned to it(I ordered it through a prog vendor about a year before I got online)in the spring of 1998.
I read a comment where someone said that these guys sound like Genesis with Phil Collins. Then I read another one where someone said that Glenn's voice sounded like Peter Gabriel. I'm not hearing anything related to Genesis at all. On this song, I think Glenn sounds more like a mix between Rik Emmett and Andy Wood. Besides that point, I think they're really good.
please can u explain me why this band have got the name of iluvatar (the architect and creator of the world in tolkien's books ) and if iluvatar was here where is the vallar ?
you're probably not expecting an answer BUT, the story goes that the band was having problems with other names they had chosen such as Sojourn and MR. E as other locals were already using it. So the drummer came in to rehearsal one day and said he's been reading a book and he came across a name he liked.... iluvatar... oh, that's awful BUT then again, no one would use that so let's go....hahaha
@sledgeinc2 They are coming back mate :) They have a page on Facebook that they update every once in a while. They posted this on may 1st: The good news is that Iluvatar's long-awaited new CD is just about finished and Glenn's vocals will be featured throughout. Iluvatar plans to move forward and search for a new vocalist to join the group for live performances and future recordings. Check back with this page soon for further announcements!
I am loving this band's music.... and am thankful to hear of the new 2014 release.
This band takes you on a journey and that is what a band should do! Good job guys!
One of the best song I've ever listened.

Don't forget that lead guitarist 😅

Definitely one of the most 'tingly' prog songs EVER...!
They are back - going to see them tomorrow night!!!
unbelievable that there are no comments and it seems no one listens to this song
Superlativo! No buscan finalizar el tema de manera pomposa para hacer un golpe de efecto, es un detalle para valorar.
I wonder what happened to these Guys. I got their 1st 2 albums, I don't know if they recorded anything else
Iluvatar, great music neo-progresive...
@sledgeinc2
Could not agree more!!!
This song always reminded me a bit from something from Genesis' "wind and wuthering" or "a trick of the tail." Very nice.

@sledgeinc2 I'd say the new album is 90% done

Wonderful song... Boring vocal. :x
The vocals fits the song all around.
