Anyone can say anything they want about Hogan but fact of the matter is, he is wrestling. No matter what, you are a real wrestling fan, you know this guy is a legend.
Bret is on record saying that 'The Natural' inspired him to come up with his catchphrase. Rosenberg is a big Bret Hart fan, so I imagine he knows this fact too. Credit to him for keeping a straight face while Hogan tried to take credit for the catchphrase. Rosenberg always asks intelligent questions and wears his passion for wrestling on his sleeve, which is probably why his interviews are so good. Really enjoyed this one.
Gotta admit Hogan is honest, he's not like other wrestlers saying "No comment" Hogan is openhearted talking about the stuff, and are not afraid to talk. Big props for that!
Hogan's face at Bret's Hall of Fame was hilarious. I remember they cut to him when Bret was talking about when the Hart Foundation did the Hart Attack on Vince at a bar, and Bret said "hulk always liked to stir up shit". Hulk's sourpuss face was priceless
Like him or Dislike him Hulk Hogan will go down as the Biggest Star in Wrestling History...Hulkamania was running WILD....Even when he turned Heel he pulled it off brilliantly and was Still Magnetic and Entertaining at the Highest Level...
I'm glad Hogan was very mature on answering questions about the WWE despite being with TNA. And he's very knowledgable about the WWE today, this gave me even more respect for him as a legend in the business.
Love him, or hate him, Hulk Hogan is put wrestling into mainstream. Wrestling is what it is because of Hulk Hogan. No one can take that away from him. Hulk Hogan 4life!
It's simple; the IWC nerds who think they know it all say Hogan ruins the business. Fact of the matter is, though, is that people will even still pay to see Hogan over some noob that nobody gives a crap about.
Hogan's right about that, It's not about wrestling or story lines anymore, it's all about tv ratings. Back when hogan was in his prime he was never on regular programming like prime time or superstars, maybe a promo and off to the payperview, kept things hot! Everything is about tv now, things change!
I think Hogan vs Austin is that dream match we all might of wanted to see but it just wasn't reality. Hogan v.s Rock at WM18 was what we got instead and it blew the joint off the place, was the premier match of the PPV and propelled Hogan to one more solid run. By the time they could maybe have faced off they were both very beat up and it would've been a major disappointment.
At least Hulk's honest about his comment being stupid. Hart was already the heavyweight champion. He won it in late 92'. His interviews had improved, and his singles matches were unmatched. A clean pin on Hogan would've shot him into ultra stardom, and unlike the Ultimate Warrior, Hart was the consummate worker - reliable, took care of whoever was in the ring, always showed up, jobbed when he had to, etc. He deserved it. Plus, it would've made for a fun match to watch, if not the technical masterpiece of Hart/Hennig/Summerslam.
***** It's tarnished Bret for me a bit. He always talks about his "legacy", and he puts down quite a few people in interviews. Anyone who slights him in the smallest way is trash to him. He's over 50 years old, so there's really no excuse for that sort of pettiness at this point.
If you think about it; Hogan is known to slam big guys (ie Andre the Giant, Kamala, Bundy, etc) so having Yoko beat him as he's leaving WWF/E made sense. Bret Hart made his own mark in the end.
we all know it, Hogan's going to have one last run in the WWE. he's still money. he still draws attention. he's iconic and has a lot left to pass on. Hogan can have people glued to the screen by just 'hulking up', he's always going to have a following and enough name value to main event another Wrestlemania whenever he wants. Also, Hogan putting over a Daniel Bryan or a Sheamus would be huge.
I love how Hogan is so up to date with WWE's product. Him, Bischoff, and Dixie probably watch together everybody Monday night. Hell they probably watch NXT too.
just to think about it Rosenberg is right, Hogan wrestled in pay per view matches only like every 3 or 4 months as far as I remember. But of course he was making more money than the rest.
one of the best enteview ever of hulk and if u know hogan he is tellling the truth u fan boys woodent know that hogan loves the buisness and has done so much for impact wrestling
I think Stone Cold had pretty much stopped wrestling when Goldberg came to the WWE. Vince really blew it with the invasion where he should have brought Goldberg in to face Austin. In a way I also think Stone Cold should have gotten the match with Hogan instead of the Rock, but there were also some good reasons for the Hogan-Rock match such as Stone Cold being injury plagued and because Hogan and the Rock both had been doing some Hollywood stuff.
What does Canada have to do w/ anything? That's irrelevant. Hogan was cheered (dwaaaayne booed) b/c fans, since the 80's, appreciate everything Hogan has done for the business.
@Frizz90 He also constantly put over TNA talent most recently Jeff Hardy & James Storm. If Hogan doesn't think Styles & Roode are Main Event material then that is his opinion. You should know why i used the word "shocking" & the context for why i used it. But whatever i don't care anymore. See ya.
I agree with you in the point where yes he does show up in mainstream media still, but it's because like I said he is a LEGEND that made millions watch him, and pro wrestling, that can never be taken away from him. The reason he signed with TNA is to help in a business stand-point. Is there evidence of that happening? One can easily argue yes and no. However, I believe he is using this platform to stay relevant. I don't see Jordan being the main focal-point of the Charlotte Bobcats. It's ego.
Agreed, in his 'biker' era you would see him on talk shows and such, but as soon as he went back to the 'deadman' you would only see him on WWE as his character. Takes his job very seriously
Such as not having a big WWF champion vs WCW champion superbout, merging the WCW into the "Alliance" with ECW and finally making WWF wrestlers join the alliance to really ruin the WWF vs WCW angle he could have cashed in on. Even if Vince wasn´t able to bring Goldberg, Nash, Hall, Hogan, Steiner to the WWF, he at least could have had a good Austin vs. Booker T unification bout, with Austin winning and unifying the belts.
@nWoWolfpacTV - I read it somewhere a long time ago. Maybe Austin's stance has changed over the years, hell it may have never even happened. You always hear 2nd-hand stuff in wrestling. Don't hate.
@nWoWolfpacTV I'd like to see your sources. Because they have so much Ex-WWE talent, those wrestlers are required higher pay, just because their value is 'higher' since they were there. That is the case for any former WWE talent, alas the aforementioned Hemme. Again, another separate issue worth arguing , how much and which ex-WWE talent is actually worth having? All those salaries alone can cause huge deficits. Yes, I did see the Hall piece, and learned about the killing today also.
@napalmman420 im just saying from the crowd reaction in the arena, of course it made no sense that he would all of a sudden help sting, my point being people like to see hogan do his thing!!!
In a shoot interview, Bret Hart said that he and Hogan took photos for the SummerSlam '93 poster: the two of them having a tug of war with the belt. He refused to job to him and the boys in the back was made with him for not doing so. The latter was actually confirmed by "Big Lazy" Kevin Nash himself.
@TurkRapVideo Hulk Hogan's run lasted from 1984 to 2000 & then part time from 2002 to 2006. Hogan was responsible for the 80's boom & played huge role in 90's boom. Hogan is huge in Japan also. Austin's run lasted from 1997 to 2003. He was injured in 2000. He was huge part of 90's boom. He may have become bigger then Hogan at one time but his tenure on top didn't last anywhere near as long as Hogan. Hogan is the biggest name in wrestling history. No Argument.
@2fresh37 Source - Powerslam Magazine in the UK (very credible). Most of TNA's income is derived form TV deals they have around the world. Hogan's salary was offset by Spike TV increasing the TV rights it pays TNA. TNA turned a profit in 2008 & 2009 & that is a fact. Sure they brought in Hardy, Flair, RVD etc. but they get rid of Lashley, Booker T, Steiner. I can't be bothered to elborate more but TNA makes money from many other revenue streams.
@Frizz90 Did it ever cross your mind that this is only a section of the interview? Tell Rosenborg or whatever his name is to upload the full interview.....furthermore what is wrong with "Hogan" being cool with Vince McMahon? It's not shocking in the slightest that they have relationship after what they did together.
@2fresh37 NEWSFLASH he is still relevant.....he is still the biggest most well known name in wrestling history. He still mianstream TV everyweek not just in the US but all over the world for Impact Wrestling, he was the headline attraction of TNA's most recent PPV (regardless if you dislike that fact). He is still able to get on ESPN, Howared Stern, Fox News, American Idol.....etc.
@jamille5150 He promoted TNA a lot when they moved to Monday Nights....you also got to realise that Hogan was out for quite a long period from like September 2010 to March 2011 with his back surgeries. He trended on twitter when he was in UK radio to promote TNA but he trended cause he said a few comments about UK riots also at time. Sure he could promote TNA more, but it's not all down to Hogan, TNA should be fixing up these appearences for him. Im not behind the scenes so i don't know.
@terracottapie For the reasons I stated below. It doesn't matter who is in charge. Tna doesn't have the wallet to have good ratings or PPV buys. This isn't nor ever will be WCW in their hay-day. They don't have the backing.
His claim that he invented "best there is/was/ever will be" if false because Bret stole it from a movie. Bret never had any intentions to come to TNA either. As far as Rock/Austin/Hogan, its interesting that even though Austin was the face of the attitude era, Rock was the one that got the dream matches with Hogan and Goldberg (the faces of WCW competition during that time)
@Rich0591 Yes, you did. He only held the title for 23465411065441 days in WCW, and won the title in his very first match there. So OBVIOUSLY he was doing jobs constantly. /sarcasm
Anyone can say anything they want about Hogan but fact of the matter is, he is wrestling. No matter what, you are a real wrestling fan, you know this guy is a legend.
Hogan....This was a great interview. No drama.

When did bret start using it?
Hahaha loving Hogans impression of Stu Hart
I don't care anyone what anyone says i believe everything Hogan said regarding the heat with Bret Hart/Stone Cold.
Great interview.

Hulk Hogan 4life!

It's simple; the IWC nerds who think they know it all say Hogan ruins the business. Fact of the matter is, though, is that people will even still pay to see Hogan over some noob that nobody gives a crap about.
Undertaker wouldn't do the show, he is probably the most careful with his gimmick out of anyone ever.
Hogan is cool,Bret is just too conflicted with shit
Hogan's right about that, It's not about wrestling or story lines anymore, it's all about tv ratings. Back when hogan was in his prime he was never on regular programming like prime time or superstars, maybe a promo and off to the payperview, kept things hot! Anyone else thinking of Will Sasso's Hulk Hogan Impression? Or is it just me?
I think Hogan vs Austin is that dream match we all might of wanted to see but it just wasn't reality. Hogan makes a great comment on how wwe lacks in Long term planning.
hulk hogan has more friends among other wrestlers than the ultimate warrior.

this interviews shows how much hogan is a fan of wrestling.
GREAT WRESTLING WITH ROSENBERG : HULK HOGAN !!!!
Woah that was really interesting. Austin & Bret :0
great interview.. i like this wrestling with rosenberg.. what happened to the total nonstop podcast
we all know it, Hogan's going to have one last run in the WWE. he's still money. he still draws attention. he's iconic and has a lot left to pass on.

Any chance you get Edge on this show?
@FragaLegacy well thank you i do know it all ...thank you mark

Eh, yeah ... Sting anyone?
What do you mean ? Sting in WcW was a legendary run and he didn't need putting over
He lost to sting Jabroni mark
@@RG-lr4pk Beating the shit out of your opponent and then losing by getting screwed is not putting someone over, dipshit
Wow! You have had the greatest, most famous wrestlers on your show! I applaud you and I am also jealous.
rosenberg, massive respect for you for one very simple reason...you let them speak and finish speakin :) i think u should get the undertaker on here.
"God..i wish i..i wish i could of put over Stone Cold Steve Austin" As a Fan of The Rattle Snake This Brought me joy haha

Hulk Hogan is ROCK!!
very interessting interview

yeah rosenberg i remember when u didn't see hulk on the regular fighting.
Hulk Hogan vs Steve Austin.WWE or TNA,either of you make it happen and I will watch it.I'm serious too.
What does Canada have to do w/ anything? That's irrelevant. Hogan was cheered (dwaaaayne booed) b/c fans, since the 80's, appreciate everything Hogan has done for the business.
I highly doubt Bret got that line from Hogan.
Nothing like hearing from a career politician like hulk hogan....
HOGAN! HOGAN! HOGAN!
Then why is your display pic some other guy?
Why is your pic something your not? Same thing
No. it is not the same thing. You are a fake Hogan mark.
How can you be a fake Hogan Mark. how can you be a fake fan of anything. You're delusional
No you are delusional. You're pretending to be a Hogan mark. That is fake. You are fake. And also, wrestling is fake.
Think about it dumbass!

that match would have drew money out the yin yang. both the icons of their time.
Why is this not a podcast
Even so, he blew the invasion angle in many other ways.
Which books? Bret's?
austin was forced to turn heel which was a bad move looking back and it definately is close unless you can find the numbers from a reliable source
