This was my first Hanayama puzzle. I only bought it because of the nut and bolt look. I’m aircraft mechanic and thought it wouldn’t be that difficult. I fidgeted with this for four days before I finally looked up the solution. I have lots more Hanayama puzzles now, and look up other people’s videos after I have solved the current puzzle several times and feel I understand it. Good job for solving this in under a day!
he makes it look so easy if I were to solve that without any clue of what the secret was, I'd be spending the rest of my life sitting in a dark room scratching my head lol
🔵 Perhaps THAT would be your biggest problem right there,...... You'd be sitting in a DARK-ROOM trying to solve A PUZZLE!!! If that happens, Turn the damn LIGHT on so you can see what the heck you're DOING!!!.....smh
Bro you really put a lot of dedication into your vids. They're pretty interesting to see and they give me something to watch (btw this was on my recommendations). And also, does anyone think he sounds like A6d?
yeah, took me about 10 seconds the guess how it works and I was right... XD (the moment you can see the lines where the two bolts are cut it's quite obvious)
Nice analytical approach to solving this puzzle. Stepwise decomposition based upon close observation of puzzle behavior and basic engineering of physical devices. The holes in the bolt heads plus the sound of something rattling inside implied the bolt was hollow. The cracks along the bolt shaft were the clue that the bolt could come apart, probably into two separate pieces. Close observation of a nut being able to slide over some adjacent threads revealed that there would be a position for each nut where it would release from one half of the threaded puzzle. Then it was trial & error to find the proper release position. Well done sir!
Great work in solving this puzzle! The original was a single nut puzzle designed by craftsman over thirty years ago as I found in craft shows around the Missouri and Arkansas areas. A friend sent me a link to your dual nut puzzle asking me to recreate it for 3D printing, so here mine is: th-cam.com/video/k7n_5CkW5yQ/w-d-xo.html . Again, great work solving this puzzle! Greg
Great work man...!!! I really really appreciate your work, i have seen many of your videos and trust me I didn't skip any one not even 10sec, i love to watch puzzle solving, and I only watch your videos because it looks interesting in compare to othere channels...! Keep it up..!!!
Your video are just awsome......you are sooo focused and has patience...i need to learn this from you. Your videos are amazing keep bringing such great puzzles. Hope you get soooo many likes and subscribers 👍
Can you try this approach? Move both the nuts to one end and rotate these two nuts along with the nearer head together, keeping the farther head steady. Curious to see if that works.
I got one of these for Christmas a few years ago. it took me about 20 minutes to solve it. The nice thing is that it's an excellent box for holding small objects. A MicroSD card fits in it perfectly, as does money.
I think screw thread based puzzles can be many based on combinations of thread position, inside, outside, spiral, piecewise which may make many versions of them with varying degree of toughness
