I am from Pakistan. Migrated to Australia, I never felt this bad after seeing the difference of living standards of kids here in Australia and Pakistan. Here in Australia whole government would be accountable if even a single kid of this age is doing this kind of hard work. I’m an American who was raised in a third world country. My mother devolved typhoid fever from eating lettuce that was not properly washed. As for me, being there since I was a baby, I was able to eat the food, drink the water, etc. As a matter of fact, whenever I go to another country, I can still eat the food and drink the water without any I’ll effects. I do truly believe that when you’re raised in it, you naturally develop the antibodies that enable you to do so. That being said, in this day and age, with so much knowledge about proper hygiene and food handling, one would think they could do a better job in maintaining cleanliness while making and preparing food.
