    Biriyani is originated from India(Most of the Indians don't know that) , we had it written in our ancient text in Tamil , our kings were serving the dish which was made up of meat mixed in rice and cooked well(ஊன் துவை அடிசில்) , not only fresh meat were used but also salted sun dried meats were also used(during expedition & siege) which was called in north India as Pulah and later in modern time as Biryani. So called yavanargal (Egyptian, Greek, Persian & Rome) were doing trading with Indians and they had settlement in SouthIndia for 1000's of years ago. so no wonder we had a cultural exchange.

    Biryani is often the safest and strongest food for tourists in the subcontinent.
    There are so many varieties of Biryani:
    - Mutton/Lamb Biryani (most expensive but popular)
    - Beef Biryani (cheaper than Mutton and Lamb)
    - Chicken Biryani (cheapest but still tasty and nutritious)
    - Seafood Biryani (Mackerels, Kingfish, fish, Prawns and other crustaceans etc)
    - Egg Biryani (easily digestible and often easiest source of protein)
    The side curry is often for taste, and the accompanied Raita (yogurt/curd + vegetables) all are to build.
    Biryani is one of the easiest and best pre-workout and post workout meals after exercise after going to the gym..
    Eating Biryani two or more times a day will however make you easily grow big, strong or even fat - especially for the ladies. It's often
    packed with calories, proteins, carbohydrates and fats. It's thus called luxury and comfort food - for both men and women.

      @@karimawithyou welcome. Biryani is probably the Indian version of Arabic Kabsa recipe and Arabic Mandi rice recipe, and vice versa (sister recipes) - but Biryani tends to be a little more spicier.

      Mate you should read history before babbling out non sense. the world BIRYANI itself is a Persian word. It's a dish that was invented in IRAN. These dishes came to India through traders and rulers and then got modified and became a completely new dish. For more info check RANVEER BRAR video about biryani were he explains in detail about the origin of biryani.

    The first Biryani which made with sheep's meatb along with above mentioned Ingrigents was invented in 18th Century in Hyderabad,( India's) Nawab s Kitchens.

      According to historian Lizzie Collingham, the modern biryani developed in the royal kitchens of the Mughal Empire (1526-1857) and is a mix of the native spicy rice dishes of India and the Persian polao. Indian restaurateur Kris Dhillon believes that the dish originated in Persia and was brought to India by the Mughals.

    Ok I'm happy that you tried biryani. But little mistake in history. Actually biryani originated in India by Indian cooks and then was taken to Iran. But it was invented during Persian rule in India that's why people think it is from Iran. Yes the Indian cooks definitely used Persian influence but all ingredients are Indian. For example, rice does not grow in Iran.

    • @karimawithyou
      @karimawithyou  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank youu but I would like to correct you about Iran 🇮🇷 which is called Persia previously :
      Iran is well known for its famous long and fine quality rice known as Sadri. The traditional varieties with medium and/or short grains are called Champa. Farmers have adopted a number of high yielding varieties.

      @@karimawithyou Thank you for the additional information. Will look into it. But what I meant was that rice was not traditionally grown in Persia during that time until about 126 BCE whereas rice has been cultivated in India as far back as 7000 BCE and evidence was first prevalent in the Ganges Valley regions of Northern India. So my conclusion is "rice" was not part of staple food of Iran so it doesn't make sense that they invent a rice dish in a region that doesn't predominantly eat rice. Even today if you go to Persia, they eat bread more than rice.

    • @karimawithyou
      @karimawithyou  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Sure its correct information but it’s not about when the rice grown in the land it’s about what they invented and when..One theory states that it originated from birinj (Persian), the Persian word for rice.Another theory states that it is derived from biryan or beriyan (Persian: بریان), which means "to fry" or "to roast".It may alternatively be related to the Persian word bereshtan (Persian: برشتن) which also means "to roast (onions)", as the dish is often prepared by flavouring rice with fried onions and meat, besides mild spices.According to historian Lizzie Collingham, the modern biryani developed in the royal kitchens of the Mughal Empire (1526-1857) and is a mix of the native spicy rice dishes of India and the Persian polao.Indian restaurateur Kris Dhillon believes that the dish originated in Persia and was brought to India by the Mughals.
      Btw the most important question: Did you subscribe my channel or no ? 😇

    • @velociraptor1596
      @velociraptor1596 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@karimawithyou Yes I am a subscriber already. Very Interesting information. Yes the history of Biriyani can be supported by various theories. You and I both agree that there is "persian" influence on the dish but we only differ on the origin. Since history is not clear we have to sometimes rely on "rationality" (reason) which is why I brought up the staple food of Iran and their traditional food habits. The most logical theory is that Indian cooks during the Mughal Empire created this dish inspired by Persian/ Central Asian style of cooking (eg. Pilav) to impress the Mughal Kings and was then taken to Persia. But it almost definitely doesn't seem to have originated in Persia since there is no such dish called 'biryani' in Persia today but other rice dishes.

      @@velociraptor1596 it was never taken to Persia !! Why are people like you so stubborn most popular dishes of India are anyways not Indian , what are you gonna cry about it? Original authentic Indian food is actually bland go read about it! That's why during odia festival rathyatra just check the food they serve , spices have come from Africa and Arab during trade .

    Biryani is indian or iran? Let me clarify..persians and indians commandly made this dish .becoz 1.marinated meat idea was persians
    2.spices and rice from india
    3.biryani made on the basis of pulav (dish from iran)means fried rice
    4.but before pulav in india there is dish called bagara which also means fried rice this is mentioned in ramayana
    5.biryani the term originates from mughals
    6.biryani is originated from mughals kitchen.
    But there is no evidence whose receipe is this
    7.meat with bagara rice which cooks separately called as mansodan .the dish which exactly similar to the biryani with exception marinated meat
    8.and there is also belives that there used special kind of rice from Tamilnadu
    The conclusion:with marinated meat 25%it is iran dish 75%india dish ....all internet sources tell you that it is originated in india by mughals ..and even if originates from pulav and marinated meat but this is different from both you're not eating only marinated meat or only just pulav .........biryani is different from both of these and it is originated in india (hyderabad)by the mughals ... which means the dish itself originates from india.
    Thanks for reading such a long comment
    Unless you're biryani lover you can't reach end.
