Air tightness, cleaning maintenance, material design all help to harden a structure against fire combustion. People really need to watch this video. I suggest that if the homeowner was present during this fire, there is an excellent chance they could have saved it with little more than a garden hose ( the first house)
Very helpful instructions to make our home more wildfire resistant. Does that spray on fire resistant gel product called Barricade work? It's sprayed on flammable structures just before evacuation.

Why are the trees still standing? And why is everyone ignoring the standing trees?
Two questions:
(1) would it be possible to make my own firebrand machine and run my own tests?
(2) would the fire department let me do that?
