Brilliant video ❤ Great help. Gladly I am going solid disc as well. Only slightly issue (maybe risky) is I am going 356mm disc with the same calipers, as the 400mm I have my eyes ok got sold and the don’t want to spend another 200£ on mtech 380mm. Will save up and eventually get 380mm if the disc don’t fill my 20 inch wheels. I am hoping it’s not a critical failure but one thing maybe you could help with?
Glad it helped mate 👍🏻 my cars on 20s and they fit fine, iv see an A6 with calipers that look like these with smaller discs on, BUT! The caliper hanger could be different, I honestly don't know, as you've said, try it and if not get a set of 380mm.
@@thestanleysadventures8229 hey. Yes the A6 has the same looking caliper, but slightly smaller I have got both of them (hehe) but want the SQ5 on the car as it’s just better painted from factory whereas A6 wasn’t painted so was all metal and a bit smaller. The same pads fit on both so I am hoping 356 will work. The 380s are just so much more expensive so such little extra size.
@sythnapubg7926 It's actually quite a big jump up in size to be honest, and the breaking force is obviously much more powerful due to the larger rotational force, that what seems a little bit bigger makes quite a big difference in performance. Be really fussy with your pads to, iv spent a small fortune on track pads and performance pads to find the best ones for my car/driving style and use.
@sythnapubg7926 for a £100 if your not sure, let someone else qualified do it mate, there's a few pit falls that if you don't have the right kit or tools you'll end up with a car that can't move, then you are in trouble! Hope that helps, if you want any advice feel free to ask 👍🏻

I am thinking of doing the swap myself but never done something like it. Do you suggest to spend £100 or change it myself. It will be on an A5
