GUY PHILIPPE, l'intime conviction

C’est dans la prise de conscience d’une enfance protégée au sein d’une famille duvaliériste que Guy Philippe dit avoir été révolté par la misère et l’injustice qui l’entouraient. Commençait alors le parcours dangereux et sulfureux du rebelle qui n’a jamais renoncé.
L’homme qui se livre ainsi un soir de juin 2016, trois ans après notre première rencontre, a mûri. Notre dialogue, commencé en 2013 à Pestel s’est poursuivi, plus intime, mais avec les mêmes accents de détermination. (1)
Si le temps des armes semble révolu, la volonté farouche de changer les choses, toujours bien présente, passe désormais par les mots d’un vrai projet politique. Un programme qui lui vaudra d’être démocratiquement élu comme sénateur de la Grande Anse.
Le jeudi 5 janvier 2017, le sénateur nouvellement élu est arrêté à Port-au-Prince et extradé aux Etats-Unis où son procès débutera le 3 avril 2017. Un triste gâchis pour toute une population frappée d’un terrible sentiment de frustration.
