Looking forward to this trip video as I see from the Ontario Parks Quetico Portage Maintenance MAP for 2022 that this was suppose to be cleared in June 2022. Looks like you went through just before they did darn it. Love your Agawa saw 🥰
I'm usually pretty cheap, but I'm glad we bought that saw. The portage crews are amazing. Even going through before them you can still appreciate all the hard work they do.
Great video! What’s interesting is that we did this trip (the loop) not much longer after you went through I’m guessing (June 3-8). Videos on our channel if you’re interested. We had assumed we were the first to go through the portages given the amount of downed trees, but I guess the wind storm that went through there between your trip and ours must’ve done that. Glad to know we’re not the only crazies to attack those portages! You made it look easy. Looking forward to your other video!
That was an interesting trip. I'm almost considering going back this Spring, but heading down the Cache River, and into Ferguson, then back to McKenzie and out. We had a friend do it last year so it can be done. I hit Subscribe and I'll be checking out your trip soon. Thanks
Watching your video of the trip, did you guys come down from Keats to Chatterton? We were sitting in the canoe at the bottom of the falls fishing. You look like the canoe we saw come down and put in on Chatterton. The water was so high on that side it looked a little scary.
@@brentandellesoutdooradventures Oh my gosh! That was us! And now that you mention it, I remember seeing your red canoe! We just assumed that you had come in from Pickerel Lake. What an absolutely small world!
Something is the matter with this particular video, it's jumpy when you pan, like it's low frame rate or resolution. I was watching your other videos and didn't notice this.

Cool video guys. That portage is a long one. Nicely done!
Thanks. The next one into McKenzie was a little shorter, but wetter. Always feels good to finish one of those portages.

I went this way in 1993 solo. It was a good rough way to go, and it rained on me, all day crossing the 2 mile portage to cache lake 3 times.
That would be a rough haul doing three trips in the rain.

@@canoebuddies1473I remember watching and thinking how difficult it would be to put in to that current, hopefully the water is t as high this year.

This was a huge mistake on my part. I had been messing around with the GoPro settings, and left it set for low light. Messed up a bunch of footage.
