In this video, I share what worked & what mistakes I made as a data analyst in my fifteen years of career in analytics. I started as a business analyst with Tata group in India and worked with many Fortune 500 clients all over the world in last 15 years in roles like DATA ANALYST, REPORTING ANALYST, INFORMATION ANALYST and DATA SCIENTIST.
In my recent role as a Senior HR Information Analyst, I worked with New Zealand Treasury.

@@dexxxxxxxx it depends on the role you want to work for. For example, for a Business Analyst, you need SQL( intermediate) + PowerBI or Tableau + strong communication and analytical skills and there are other skills too which are not prerequisites but good to learn things.

Others see Data Analyst works as intimidating or only for those who have a knack for coding. But others don't realize that there are other ways to be a Data Analyst without having coding skills. That's a plus, yes, but there are data tools that can support you to accomplish the same goal of data cleansing, enrichment, and verification.

EXCELLENT and useful information, thank you for taking the time to share 😊🤗 Your videos are very helpful and easy to follow - with incredible expertise. Please continue with more videos for those of us who are trying to improve our skills as Data Analysts and develop a btter understanding of the qualities required... I love doing the analysis but have an uphill battle with my boss who believes HE is an expert (far from it).
I'm happy to see that I hold strong to keeping data integrity, but easier said than done in my organisation - but I'm like a dog with a bone ... I'll continue to fight to maintain the data integrity - regardless of the opinion of my boss!
