Gauri born in a family blessed with the heritage of hindustani classical music, Gauri started singing at a tender age of three. The musical tradition of two generations of her family coming from her grandmother and mother was carried forward through young Gauri who earned her Sangeet Visharad (equivalent to graduation) from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya (the well known University of Music in India) when she was only 17. She found her source of inspiration as well as her first guru in her mother, the disciple of classical vocalist Pt. Phiroze Dastur of Kirana Gharana. Her advanced education of light vocal music was under the tutelage of the legendary Pt. Yashwant Deo.

In these few days I managed to watch and listen to Your channel giving opportunity to various singers. In this Dr Gauri Kavi stands out as the best as for me. She has sung yesteryears songs and puts in best of her efforts. She is a versatile singer and has put in lots of years in entertaining and giving happiness to people vide her wonderful voice and ability and hard work. I really wonder why she never got a chance to sing in Indian Cinema. I wish her best of luck for the future projects she has undertaken and hope god blesses her in every way. Thanks to hemantkumar ji for all the good work.
