Love your teaching style, clear-to the point. I also love that you have paint in the wells of your palette. So many people just dab a teeny tiny tentative spot of each color- then expect to make Art 🙄 Do you know the more you mix mix mix the paint together on the palette, the more it breaks down the pigments-making it chalkier/duller than if you mix it less? Try it out- 1)hyper mix two colors on the palette - apply to paper. 2) use the same two colors, mix it half & half (half on palette, let the other half of the mixing happen on the pre-moistened paper) 3)let the two colors mix entirely on the pre-moistened paper. Result?? Colors that glow like watercolor is supposed to 🤗🎨 (assuming, like here, artist quality paint is used)

I usually like to go to my palette first before applying it on paper because I like the paint to be well distributed on my brush. I really appreciate your enthusiasm but unfortunately, I'm only one person trying to juggle many video production from planning, trials, filming, editing, scripting, voice overing and uploading - 1 YT vid takes me around 16-22hrs on avg to make. On top of TH-cam I also make full hour classes on Skillshare and I also teach privately and help out with my parent's new business from time to time, I also have some medical conditions which makes me unable to use my hands in some days 😅 I'm trying my best to stretch myself out but I know it's not very good for me physically as I've gotten sick from fatigue a lot of times (I don't have days off). I'm a bit confused about the effort to draw out the stawberries with the contours in the beginning but then there are no contours used when you are painting? Yet the strawberries still seem to have dimension? How do you achieve that?
The contour lines are there for you to imagine as you paint. With it drawn its easy to place the highlights at the highest peaks and the seeds following the curve which is actually very subtle. So even if you dont draw it as you paint thats something that you keep in mind so the placements of those features still follows the curvature of the berry. Hope this makes sense 😊
