You folks had exactly the same idea that I had - a VW rear assembly with a Harley rigid frame on the front. Also, I like your longish wheel base. This gives a lot of room to build in storage and comfort for those long distance trips. BTW, I think that Fat Bob front end just looks so RIGHT

NOTE TO VIEWERS. This guy did it right! He used a plentiful and STRONG HD frame and front end. I've seen too many trike projects fuck up by using weak parts and just finished torching off one abortion so my bro can use the swing axle with a Stires style heavy wall box tube frame we are fabbing. You can buy blank Harley steering necks if you weld your own frame. I'm not a trike expert but built plenty of motorcycles and trikes are a bit different. This is NOT a project for some shitbox 120 volt flux core welder. Any process is fine but you'll need more amps for the structural work. You can get HD chopper frames without titles cheap used at swap meets, and of course front ends like the bagger Wide Glide used here.

I completely agree with your assessment. I'm building my trike with a
VW rear assembly and a Paugcho rigid frame on the front. I don't know why so many guys want to reinvent the wheel when outfits such as Paugcho and other Harley aftermarket frame builders already have the ergonomics all worked out. Also, I don't want to ride around with butt about 5 inches off of the pavement. I want it up where I was when I had my Harley. Love y our comment, man.

Mmmm acá en México ( en el estado de Chihuahua en el norte se batalla mucho para comprar ese tipo de veichulos no hay y si encuentras carísimo y no hay de crédito nomás precio de contado
