It's all started with our founding fathers. I remember when I first enrolled in nursery school 32 yrs ago, one of the key things we were taught as 5yr olds was the importance of trees and environment. There was a national mantra that if you cut one tree you plan three and you make sure they survive. Demarcation of green spaces and conversation of forests and parks became a government priority in our major cities to date. You don't talk about beautification without greenery and cutting trees for infrastructural development has drawn a serious national debate in this country that some sections of project have had to be redesigned or diverted to save one or two indigenous trees and a good example is the expressway. Environment, that is trees and wildlife is an emotive issue in this country that can cost someone's political ambitions. It can influence voting patterns.
Oh! Okay. Thanks for the correction ♥️. When we got to that area, the Bolt driver who is Kenyan, told me that axis is known as upper hill though. That’s before we drove into Parliament Road.
You did well to cover quite a bit of Nairobi but I wished you also covered the expressway for the sweeping views of the city from up there, it would have been worth it I guarantee you. Maybe a missed opportunity this time but I'm sure you'll consider it next time you are in town.
You will enjoy more outside of Nairobi, next time when you get time, I will take you to my rural home in the western part of Kenya, at least you enjoy our traditional food.
Hi Martin, this means so much to me ♥️♥️. I had a major life change in the past few months which made me go on a temporary break, but I’ll be back in April, I promise. I’m also currently working on editing multiple videos I filmed throughout this period so I can put them out. Thank you so much for noticing and reaching out too. ♥️♥️♥️
@@TheVeraFrank sorry for what happened but Come back we are missing you, you got a very good channel with great support, I have seen it today and I got interested to go through it,never stop it's doing fine 💝💝, love from Nairobikenya
Some issues though, some buildings are old from the Kenyatta and Moi era and we need new modern ones, everyone crosses the road from anywhere and can get knocked down
What is the difference between Nairobi, Lagos and Accra? Which country is doing well in terms of infrastructure development? what are the best practices learned and should be adopted amongst the three cities?
First of all, I’d say all three countries are doing a great job in infrastructure development. 👍 I also didn’t stay in Nairobi for a long time, but from what I saw during my short stay, I’d say one of the most beautiful things I noticed about Nairobi is the structure and systems put in place to make sure things work well. Their tourism sector is well structured, single-use plastic bags are prohibited, most people are also helping to phase out jaywalking by walking at designated Zebra crossings, etc. These are certain characteristics you can pinpoint in a forward-thinking country. On a second thought, I decided to reserve my opinion on the infrastructure development part, because I haven’t stayed in Accra & Nairobi for lengthy periods to truly judge the situation. You should know this is purely my own opinion. Another person might have a different one.
@@TheVeraFrank Thanks Vera for the insight. Nigeria is African giant in terms of GDP. I hope the current regime will make Nigeria the best in sub Saharan Africa. I love Nigerians and how they appreciate what is good? You guys have money, you travel a lot. I hope you enjoyed the sunny weather in Kenya, from May to October is freezing cold in Nairobi. You may think you are somewhere in Europe. Thanks

M7 needs to go for Uganda to fully recover its place in East Africa and beyond.
Nairobi is one of the greenest cities in Africa. We truly love our trees and indeed we love our environment
Yes, it is. That's one of the beautiful things I noticed and love about Nairobi. ❤️❤️

@@TheVeraFrank Thanks! doing great, nice to hear you again.Cheers!
The area you indicated to be Upper Hill is actually Museum Hill.
I didn't see the streets of Upper Hill anywhere in your footage.
Oh! Okay. Thanks for the correction ♥️.
When we got to that area, the Bolt driver who is Kenyan, told me that axis is known as upper hill though. That’s before we drove into Parliament Road.
Some bolt drivers are new to the City
Oh, that explains it then. Thanks once again, Eric. ❤️
Welcome to Kenya. Upper hill is not anywhere on this video. That driver gave you incorrect info. May be he is new in Nairobi.
Thank you very much ♥️.
& yes, I think he is.
Thanks for sharing 👍

@@TheVeraFrank ❤️
beautiful job
You drove all this in such a hectic city in one day? I'd have a headache for the ages if I did all that
It was actually on two different days. 😁
What is the title of background music
Hello Collins, I just listed all the songs I used in the video for you in the video description. I hope that helps. ❤️
Which camera do you use. Liked and shared
I use the camera on an iPhone 13 Pro Max.
Some issues though, some buildings are old from the Kenyatta and Moi era and we need new modern ones, everyone crosses the road from anywhere and can get knocked down
We have a lot of modern skyscrapers now...
You should construct one,,nyumba hujengwa na wanaume kwani we si mwanaume kama wengine bro
Old is gold, European cities have very old buildings as well as new ones. That is what makes a city beautiful!
Naw they just need to be better cared for. Where I live we have buildings from the 1600s and they are doing just fine.
Plz can Africans stop comparing their cities to western cities. We're not supposed to be like New York we're supposed to just be Nairobi
Nothing wrong with comparisons... they motivate you to do better... especially infrastructure and service wise
Let New York be New York and Nairobi Nairobi
can u also do dar es salaam tanzania
Infrastructure in Kenya is tick

Kenya infrastructure is way better and modern

Kenya 🇰🇪 Hakuna MATATa
Be careful when you're driving, watch traffic lights, zebra crossing or your car will be burnt into ashes when you knock somebody down,
Sure thing. The car was driven by a Kenyan though.
This is Nairobi!!! Why is the big name not as attractive as Dar es Salaam?
Stop freezing the video
I think he's doing it for the route signs on the roads he travels to, very informative
There is a reason for that
I did that to show people the street name signs so they could know what part of Nairobi is being shown in the video. Thanks for watching.
