Hey, people. Ranged supports like Floryn shouldn't use Dominance Ice for the antiheal effect; they'll have to enter a no-man's radius which can kill them.
In general you should honestly never build tank at all for floryn, you should always go full magic power on floryn's build to maximize her healing and it also allows decent debuffing options in IQW and NoD. Tank floryn is way too limited and squishy to do anything due to her limited item slots

@@Orange3006I woudnt rlly take that advice though, most supports need to be kinda tanky, Becsuse the jungle will aim you and your assassin to get you out first so if your full magic you can easily be killed, maybe one magic item is enough.
And another alternative item is Holy Crystal as this will exponentially increase ur magic power overall making angela’s ult shield even higher and ofc higher heal and dmg, would only recommend when u obv get the other magic items first, i probably would swap it out with Glowing Wand for playstyle diff
Building Holy Crystal is a must for mage build Angela and so is building Starlium Scythe, which wasn't mentioned either. For Holy Crystal, the ult's shield scaling is 280% of magic power, so the 35% extra magic power goes a long way. For Starlium Scythe, Angela's skill 1 has a cooldown of only 2 seconds by default, so the passive of doing 100 + 100% magic power true damage after every skill cast (with 1.5s cooldown) is insanely spammable. In fact, I tested it and the basic attack with Starlium Scythe's does more damage than the Angela's actual skills itself, which is insane and that's on a damage bot, which has 0 physical and magic defence. If you test it on an actual hero with some defence (even squishies have some), the difference is much more significant because Starlium Scythe enhanced basic attacks do true damage while her skills do not. The build I tested it on didn't even focus on building magic power and instead focused on CDR and Magic Penetration, so the difference would have been much more significant if I build pure magic power. Test build which I also recommend you all to use: Arcane Boots with Favour Roam, Enchanted Talisman, Fleeting Time, Holy Crystal, Divine Glaive, and Starlium Scythe. Support Emblem that gives 5 adaptive penetration, 15% CDR for battle spells/active skills, and Focusing Mark. Sprint battle spell. I focused on penetration items and emblem talents because while the ult has insane scaling, her skill 1's is only decent and skill 2's is mediocre. Plus, Angela is scary early game and the Arcane boots + 5 emblem pen makes her even more lethal, which can give your mm an advantage while babysitting during laning phase. Angela isn't meta now though, but I recommend building Starlium Scythe for Floryn (the now most broken hero in the game) as well if you're going the mage build route.
I always build COD + LT, aside from fleeting time, bloodwings and holy crystal. Nobody ever complained. Especially after they see how fast I can heal them, while draining enemy hp at astonishing rate at the same time. 😂
I actually use angela mage from the start of playing her and here is a few tips: Dont build enchanted talisman since its you cant use mana and cd from it Build genius wand if u often ult on a magic damage hero ( karina and kimmy for example ) Build glowing wand if u often use angela for split pushing Pls and pls dont build any defensive item since u are often inside of your allies For floryn dont build fleeping time build enchanted talisman instead
@@4nico_ there are 2 scenarios: Build fleeting time and talisman at the same time: You get more cd then the limit so it will be a waste of gold ( im assuming this build: support emblem, magic boots, fleeting time, talisman ) which end to 55% ( limit is 45 when u have talisman ) and keep that in mind floryn only has 5 item slot so... Second scenario: building only fleeting time Its doesn't have any big problem but u keep drying mana and need to go back to the base ( talisman gives u infinite mana and floryn can easily regen her hp so... ) And from my personal experience u usually dont need to ult 2 times in a teamfight and with 45% cd u have your ult and hp by the next gang

It only works if you have a good team with decent damage dealers, supports don't actually need to do damage lol. Not every supports suits being a mage, don't risk it if you're solo. just make it easier for your team to kill, like Estes, he's not build for killing but slowing the enemies while using his ult to tremendously heal all of his team members. I can see rafa being a mage support because she actually do an okay damage at clearing lanes.
Dominance Ice for Angela is actually a good combo, especially if your hyper carry is melee since Dom Ice still gets triggered even if you're "inside" your ally.
If it is, I’ll still prefer to use the necklace because it adds magic power and life steal as well. I’ll need all the magic power I can get to increase the damage and the heal. At my full equip, my heal speed rivals estes. 😂 makes sense because estes must build some or all defense items because he is a sitting duck target, unlike angela that can ‘hide’ inside their tanky teammates.
Why build Lightning Truncheon when you can build so many more effective items? Necklace of Durance Winter Truncheon Holy Crystal Blood Wings Enchanted Talisman Fleeting Time All you need is CD Reduction, Magic Power, and Defense. The only way I can see it being used is on Dire Hit heros like Selena or Mathilda. But both of tuem needs their items ASAP, so they should just be a Midlaner if she does go for Clock of Destiny + Lightning Truncheon. Not to mention Mathilda is better with Genius Wand + Glowing Wand anyway.
Only supports i use are Estes and Diggie (cuz they 0 skill cuz im not a support player, im a tank main). I build both of them tanky cuz i've been always targeted as Diggie by ling/fanny and i couldnt check a bush. Although i wanna be a menace with a damage diggie, tank diggie also good with Revitalize. Kinda forced to use tank emblem for more hp (500, not laughable) and im using more hp, mystery shop (i THINK, maybe gonna use pull urself together) and brave smite (sustain clutch af). Revitalize is actually more impactful than you think and while im dealing no damage, i can HEAL and be tanky enough not to be dived and therefore my ult wont be forced. Bombs still hella useful for giving vision so you're definitely useful! And if anything, your ult still gives 1k shield which isnt enough but is still something i guess. Anyway, its not a regular pick but is very good situationaly. Just make sure to build first 2 items with HP like Quirass and Athena/Radiant, then Dominance Ice.
Take healing roam mana boots, then fleeting time, anti heal necklace “if it’s needed if not replace it with LT for damage”, holy crystal, blood wings (oracle, Athena shield or brute force for more survivability) or just go for the CoD and LT combo remember to build CoD as first item if you want that!!
whenever I play estes with full magic build: Teammate: dude why didn't you build tank? Me: because I want to maximise his healing output?? Teammate: Which meta are Estes with full magic build? 🤔🤔🤔 If enemies has burst or high CC's I use purify and winter truncheon instead
One tip if any of the team mate is ganked and surrounded by more than two enemies with dropping hp, nvr ult on the team mate it's useless as since he gonna die and then u will end in 1v3 instead 😵 trust me it's by experience
As a range Healer support (Floryn & Angela). My modus operandi is stack magic power for higher heals/ thicker shield + Necklace as anti heal item while staying at a decent range from the enemy.
Speaking of Antiheal Items, for some fighters/assassins, there will be times where Sea Halberd is kinda better than Dominance Ice because of its passive (+8% damage to heroes with more HP than you). Especially for sustain heroes, just a bit more damage can mean more sustain. Also, some heroes with massive/spammable AoE skills can benefit more on the Sea Halberd since they only need to hit once to proc. My rule of thumb is just: If you are being bursted by Physical damage, use Domi, otherwise Sea Halberd. For most assasin roams (ie. Saber, Natalia), even though they're not AS reliant, Sea Halberd is just better.
On the pro scene, they seem to build their support roam tanky though, maybe except for Diggie. I guess it comes down to whether jungle and exp provides enough frontline for the team.
It isn‘t tho. If you‘re team is far behind and still focus the enemies carry then you guys will most likely die and feed even more. If you‘re behind its better to farm and if you consider fighting only fight when the enemies carry isn‘t there. And you definitely want to use your ult.
I just tried Floryn with magic damage. She is very powerful. She may not deal much against magic defense, but her heal is much stronger. Her global heal removes antiheal, so it is perfect for Lord clashes. Plus, she does not always have to stick with assassins. She can have some distance and still heal them because her first skill heals everyone within its vicinity.

I'm a support main I know this itemization and it's benefits. I never build full tank with my all supports it's always been full magic or hybrid because, the stats of buff you can give is based on your magic scale not by defensive items.
I build Clock of Destiny, Holy Crystal and the CD reduction staff (forgot it's name) for Floryn because it not only boosts her heal, it's also good for poking and such... If y'all are wondering how I survive things, map awareness and good positioning.
Insert Monkey looking away Meme here. Me with Floryn MM build because no one picked a Marksman (which is very very very rare I tell you). And yes, we lost I honestly prefer Bloody Wings than Divine Glaive with a support. Divine Glaive just gives you more damage on an enemy, but Bloody Wings gives you more Magic Power and thus helps your allies more, gives you more HP and a shield for survivability, and a bonus movement speed while the shield lasts which combined with Ice Queen Wand makes it more harder for melee heroes to get closer. The only downside is it cost a bit more than Divine Glaive.
Depends on the situation and enemy line up. Dmg is useless on support if enemies have high burst assassins and dps. You gotta pray every teamfight. Supports and mm are the main targets on clash. Goodluck if you don’t have defensive items
I kind of disagree not building dominance ice for angela. As an Angela player, I always combo necklace and dominance together, this makes sure that in a clash, hp regen and shield reductions would always be applied either through Angela's skills or just by being close to the hero, not to mention the attack speed slow effect of dominance. What do you think?
As a Floryn main ~ hehe I've been building damage to make her heal slap harder since the dawn of time :)) And, if you deal big damage, your zone potential is significantly stronger. Mana boots > Clock > Truncheon > Fleeting covers almost all situations. My fifth item is always Necklace, mage wings, or twilight/Athena depending on the situation. The spell I bring is my 6th item and is always a response to enemy lineup ~ but usually it's Flameshot. Flameshot pushes enemies to the maximum range of her second skill, and together they provide excellent anto-dive.
burst build is kinda meh on supports, debuff ap build is so much better a simple example using Rafaela Boots Book NoD Ice Queen Wand Glowing Wand Genius Wand that’s the best build for her, u don’t want burst damage on support (CoD and LT) u want to debuff enemies while dealing a good amount of damage
As an Angela main, this is really helpful! I have my own build that I was using most of the time and that includes Fleeting Time, Ice Queen Wand and Dominance Ice but obviously I will replace Dominance Ice with those other suggested items from now on. This guide really adds up to my knowledge on using Angela so thank you so much Nico! 😊 Also, not to brag but my bf (who is ofc my duo) is a Marksman/Tank main so I won’t be included to that Angela who’s always the girlfriend of some jungler players 😂 although it’s true, based on my experience, a lot of junglers simps to Angela haha sorry I just felt I have to include this on my comment
I reached mythic with roam eudora. If you can delete their marksman, jungle or mage before the clash happens then you win. Plus her stun poke combo hurts like hell early game.

Well sometimes it really depends upon the player. Some dummies like me need to build def. If i go dmg then ill just end up getting killed before the teamfight even starts 💀
Mage support really isn't that good. Angela has been using it forever because she's hiding inside someone but other than that, no other support should build mage. As you'll notice no support that heals is actually used for their heals, so why try to buff it? Building hybrid is fine if the enemy doesn't have dive heroes but hybrid is as far as you should go. Also Oracle should be built on supports, it increases their survivability more than a regular defense item would. Also, for hybrid, you should at max build two magic items.

Naaah, supports wont check the bush nor will they dive in for you to save you. Because they cant. A good support main a rarer than a tank main in soloq. They'd pick a support when its the absolute worst, making your team all squishy then wonder why noone can check a bush and why noone can punish a diving enemy jg cuz hes backed up by a stacked cc tank such as Mino/Atlas/Khufra. 97,5% of the time support players are a total garbage thats blind and feeds or throws a draft. Im not saying supports are bad or useless, they are actually very powerful IF DONE RIGHT but almost noone, including other teammates, knows what team comps or heroes are good with supports.
By experiencies for somenthing supports can reveal enemies on bushes to give vision with skills. Also Moonton is aware of this why supports doesn't are this tanky, thats why NoD and Ice Queen got HP stats. This will also be Fleeting Time in a future as it also comes with FOTO. Moonton is aware of the healers weakness.
As a support player, I defer. For me, CD reduction is the most important stat to max out, and second is regen to roam effectively. Generally support heroes' skill damage don't scale well with items, building damage item will only increase healing magnitude but nothing else. CD reduction let you cast your spell more often, thus more debuffs/buffs/heals. Why not both u ask? Well as a roaming support, especially soloQ, u simply don't have the income luxury to max out item in most matches (esp Floryn with only 5 slots).
My go to items for supports like mathilda, estes, rafeala, faramis and angela are oracle, dominance ice and immortality. Then i usually build ice queen's wand and glowing wand for extra damage and more slow effects (for estes tho i don't recommend building ice queen's wand since his 2nd skill already provides you that slow effect so i usually build necklace of durance instead or when my side laner is squishy as hell then I'd go full tank build) and also a tip. Don't even bother using a support hero if you're team is squishy as hell just go for a solid tank like, atlas, hylos, grock, khufra, minotaur or lolita cuz if you don't use a tank you'll probably end up having a bad day 🤦🤦🤦
Ive been doing magic items with all of my support heroes for 5byears or so now. Nothing new for me. But this will help other players only basing their gameplays from youtubers. No brain players
I've been doing this since the emblem patch. And it tilts me to see support players, like floryn and angela building tank items. They are useless af. I even have a back to back where I play floryn on first and a teammate play floryn tank. I literally have higher damage taken, and damage dealt. Same KDA but then her assists kinda depends on your teammates killing enemies.
Well to have a higher chance to win just whenever u get a support just pick a tank in exp cuz in late game it will be the difference that will make u win
This my reason why id rather pick nana or valir lately as support to have a bit more fun dealing damage. Playing squishy support in Eu server solo i think isnt really going to be useful because as a tank main even if i tank the damage most wont really attack😅.I think if its duo with a core or a team then it may work.

My rule of thumb is just: If you are being bursted by Physical damage, use Domi, otherwise Sea Halberd. For most assasin roams (ie. Saber, Natalia), even though they're not AS reliant, Sea Halberd is just better.
But supports have high base and low scaling.

I just tried Floryn with magic damage. She is very powerful. She may not deal much against magic defense, but her heal is much stronger. Her global heal removes antiheal, so it is perfect for Lord clashes. Plus, she does not always have to stick with assassins. She can have some distance and still heal them because her first skill heals everyone within its vicinity.

I'm a support main I know this itemization and it's benefits. I never build full tank with my all supports it's always been full magic or hybrid because, the stats of buff you can give is based on your magic scale not by defensive items.
I build Clock of Destiny, Holy Crystal and the CD reduction staff (forgot it's name) for Floryn because it not only boosts her heal, it's also good for poking and such... If y'all are wondering how I survive things, map awareness and good positioning.

I honestly prefer Bloody Wings than Divine Glaive with a support. Divine Glaive just gives you more damage on an enemy, but Bloody Wings gives you more Magic Power and thus helps your allies more, gives you more HP and a shield for survivability, and a bonus movement speed while the shield lasts which combined with Ice Queen Wand makes it more harder for melee heroes to get closer. The only downside is it cost a bit more than Divine Glaive.
Depends on the situation and enemy line up. Dmg is useless on support if enemies have high burst assassins and dps. You gotta pray every teamfight. Supports and mm are the main targets on clash. Goodluck if you don’t have defensive items

I kind of disagree not building dominance ice for angela. As an Angela player, I always combo necklace and dominance together, this makes sure that in a clash, hp regen and shield reductions would always be applied either through Angela's skills or just by being close to the hero, not to mention the attack speed slow effect of dominance. What do you think?
When i play angela i always play tanl build and it works very well and noone was really able to kill me unless they used everything on me

And, if you deal big damage, your zone potential is significantly stronger.
Mana boots > Clock > Truncheon > Fleeting covers almost all situations. My fifth item is always Necklace, mage wings, or twilight/Athena depending on the situation.
The spell I bring is my 6th item and is always a response to enemy lineup ~ but usually it's Flameshot. Flameshot pushes enemies to the maximum range of her second skill, and together they provide excellent anto-dive.

As an Angela main, this is really helpful! I have my own build that I was using most of the time and that includes Fleeting Time, Ice Queen Wand and Dominance Ice but obviously I will replace Dominance Ice with those other suggested items from now on. This guide really adds up to my knowledge on using Angela so thank you so much Nico! 😊

Mage support really isn't that good. Angela has been using it forever because she's hiding inside someone but other than that, no other support should build mage. As you'll notice no support that heals is actually used for their heals, so why try to buff it? Building hybrid is fine if the enemy doesn't have dive heroes but hybrid is as far as you should go. Also Oracle should be built on supports, it increases their survivability more than a regular defense item would. Also, for hybrid, you should at max build two magic items.
Moonton is already aware of their magic scaling in their heals, so well, soon we will start using supports with magic items

Naaah, supports wont check the bush nor will they dive in for you to save you. Because they cant. A good support main a rarer than a tank main in soloq. They'd pick a support when its the absolute worst, making your team all squishy then wonder why noone can check a bush and why noone can punish a diving enemy jg cuz hes backed up by a stacked cc tank such as Mino/Atlas/Khufra. 97,5% of the time support players are a total garbage thats blind and feeds or throws a draft. Im not saying supports are bad or useless, they are actually very powerful IF DONE RIGHT but almost noone, including other teammates, knows what team comps or heroes are good with supports.
By experiencies for somenthing supports can reveal enemies on bushes to give vision with skills. Also Moonton is aware of this why supports doesn't are this tanky, thats why NoD and Ice Queen got HP stats. This will also be Fleeting Time in a future as it also comes with FOTO.

As a support player, I defer. For me, CD reduction is the most important stat to max out, and second is regen to roam effectively. Generally support heroes' skill damage don't scale well with items, building damage item will only increase healing magnitude but nothing else. CD reduction let you cast your spell more often, thus more debuffs/buffs/heals. Why not both u ask? Well as a roaming support, especially soloQ, u simply don't have the income luxury to max out item in most matches (esp Floryn with only 5 slots).
My go to items for supports like mathilda, estes, rafeala, faramis and angela are oracle, dominance ice and immortality. Then i usually build ice queen's wand and glowing wand for extra damage and more slow effects (for estes tho i don't recommend building ice queen's wand since his 2nd skill already provides you that slow effect so i usually build necklace of durance instead or when my side laner is squishy as hell then I'd go full tank build) and also a tip. Don't even bother using a support hero if you're team is squishy as hell just go for a solid tank like, atlas, hylos, grock, khufra, minotaur or lolita cuz if you don't use a tank you'll probably end up having a bad day 🤦🤦🤦

I've been doing this since the emblem patch. And it tilts me to see support players, like floryn and angela building tank items. They are useless af. I even have a back to back where I play floryn on first and a teammate play floryn tank. I literally have higher damage taken, and damage dealt. Same KDA but then her assists kinda depends on your teammates killing enemies.

Sadly no, his healing doesn't scales. So yeah you'll mostly focus him as a tank.

This my reason why id rather pick nana or valir lately as support to have a bit more fun dealing damage. Playing squishy support in Eu server solo i think isnt really going to be useful because as a tank main even if i tank the damage most wont really attack😅.I think if its duo with a core or a team then it may work.
