Please do another video about this radio in dual display mode using VFO mode. Push the band button and it has two band options in A, and 3 band options in B (one being the FM broadcast mode) the manual says dual display mode is for working non standard repeater offsets for things like satélites etc. but doesn’t explain much more. Does it listen on A and transmit on B or listen on A and transmit on the second layer of A?
@@2j4ez I just find out the Original Yaesu manual.say 400 to 480 Mhz receive coverage so UK dealers are putting wrong information by stating 400 to 500 KHz.
Hi 2j4ez! After following your clear instructions, my FT 65 did becometh capable of dual display However, when doing the expand mod, after entering the code, the unit did not reboot. Any explanation with this peculiar unit? It is a US version, if this info could help
Need a digital dual mode aswell on these radios and a wider rx low khz to 999 like the vx models have remake these radios and the vx ones make the bug and fault fixes and ... yaesu if watching yes please take my money lol
Thank you for your most informative video. BEST one I've seen, You didn't miss any steps like others that I've seen.

Not far as I’m aware

When you are in dual display and if you have set A as a main line can you hear the B line?
Good question I’ll look into it
@@2j4ez thanks
out of curiosity, my FT65 receive coverage ends at 480mhz and not on 500mhz as advertised , this independently if is modded or not.
My radio is not modded to extend the frequency’s

Isn't a mod a change you make that didn't exist before rather than a built-in setting?
You wouldn’t no it was there if you didn’t put the code in it’s not listed in the manual
Absolute nonsense. It does not work on my Yaesu FT65.
