My favorite whale combo is kangaroo/snake -> whale with melon -> deer. It makes sure the kangaroo or snake triggers at least 3 times, usually 4 because of the melon.
Great combo
I think tiger at the back of whale-deer is also as good, as long as the deer is at the front. The whole thing spawns 4 buses and is very satisfying when paired with a turkey/vulture in the new pack.
kangaroo behind a level 2 whale behind a turtle is really nice mid-game
It feels like whatever pet your going for ALWAYS ends up getting the final hit. Kinda poetic
I played against someone who had a Deer, Whale, Tiger, Turkey combo that worked pretty well, the only challenge is having everything go right
sheep is probably better with turkey but kangaroo or snake behind whale is best with deer
The biggest key with that team is getting everything out of snipe range because losing even one of those before battle can completely destroy the strategy
@@andrewhouchin5812 The Turkey isn't that important.
But it will decrease the chance of winning for a quite high amount.
One thing that the whale would've been useful for in the context of the AZ challenge is getting a deer so that the L3 whale spits out a L3 deer/bus, which you wouldn't be able to access for challenge purposes. Their effectiveness really drops off fast, though.
But adding a fly and turkey or a tiger can bring that team to an easy 10 win. Depending on how early u get what u need
So not as early as you think bc people will copy and try it for themself. And if they succeed they will use it over and over again unlike the start of the game where nobody knew
whale is actually an amazing unit when paired up with a turkey and dear. this is because its an easy way to get two buses going and the whale itself can do some damage too.
Tiger whale deer makes 4 buses. Whale eats deer, first bus. Then tiger makes whale spit out 2 deers. The front deer makes the second bus, and tiger deer makes 2 more, for a total of 4 buses.
Tbf a good strategy for the whale, because you can level it up earlier, its good to get a level 3 tier 6 that has an in game ability, like a boar, swallows a level 1 boar and spits it out at level 3 when it dies
Or the octopus. Level 3 octopus is GOAT.

@@ericcarty6495 there is literally not enough room, what would you get rid of? I think the second turkey stats are more useful than a fly and thats about the only thing that is removable from the combo, taking away the tiger will short you 2 buses which is only 1 less summon than the fly but with better abilities from the chilli
deer+whale is great more bus and you get the stat line of whale anyway. combine that with turkey and you can have some shenanigans
the one major saving grace of whale is that it counts as summoning the thing he just ate, so turkey will boost both the deer and the bus that get summoned.
Whale isn't great, but it's fun sometimes

@@troit1550 tiger+ whale doesn't repeat its swallow ability if it's in the second position from the front. it dies and spawns two deer, and then when the second deer dies, the tiger behind it makes it spawn two buses.
Man, it's rare I disagree with you, but Deer/Whale/Tiger/Turkey/Parrot is one of the strongest combos I've come across while playing bar none, and the whales ability is why it works.

I've done "Turkey Tiger Whale Penguin Deer (w/mushroom)", which allows some scaling & the penguin can be a sacrifice opening up an extra slot, & therefore allowing the mushroom deer to work. It's great fun :)
@@CrystalENVT that sounds like a lot of fun but with a summon team the stats dont matter too much so i think you’d always be better off with a parrot or another turkey/tiger

@@ericcarty6495 I like giving the deer a mushroom and the fly would overwrite it, so I usually don't get it. But it's indeed quite fun
The best place I can see Whale is on a Summoning Team with Tiger.
Parrot > Turkey > Tiger > Whale >

Theoretically if you whale spider you could get whale-spider-sheep-sheep token, which is 4 guaranteed attacks. Though there are better ways to trigger a kangaroo.
With the whale scorpion there’s no real point in levelling up the whale outside of this challenge

at 5:25 you should of sold the giraffe for the tiger behind whale. Would of gave you double summon from whale and double buff from extra mammoth summoned + another ability proc
If you do things with death triggers and put a tiger behind the whale you can actually get 4 death triggers in three spots so it can be good for that. Deer and Hedgehog are the classic examples. Only issue is that you can only put a mushroom on one of those so your three spaces get 5 triggers with the 1 mushroom, whereas 3 of the unit would get 6 triggers with 3 mushrooms. What it does help with though is letting you level up that hedgehog or deer faster since there’s only one, and effectively makes every level up of the whale or tiger similar in effect to leveling a hedgehog/deer, so it gives you 3x as many relevant shop pets for level up.
tiger with whale seems to be really good with any pet that has an on feint ability

I recently got the ribbon with a whale + mammoth mushroom. I ended up winning by 1 hp. Opponent was running tiger+whale+deer (buffed by a parrot+turkey). Luckily his parrot and turkey didn't have much hp, so the tanks beat the summoners (although my team wasn't even that tanky - my biggest unit was a 31/30 bison).
I think you're under estimating the whale if it a boar or something that you don't really have time to scale and put a tiger behind it you can get to high-level high stat boars that constantly increase their stats
Whale mammoth underrated, u can have the potential to do 18/18 buff for everyone :0
And if u got a tiger behind the whale, the whale spits out two mammoths when it dies and the second mammoth gives two buffs when it does because of the tiger.

If you put a sloth in front of a level 3 whale, when the whale spit it out, would the sloth be level 3 and would that count?
No because it counts the pets you had in the shop, not at the end of the round.

Deer-whale-tiger is always fun and strong.
I ran level 3 Whale with a Mammoth in front of it. Easy carry as long as you didnt draw too many rounds early.
Tiger whale 1up scorpion 1up scorpion and anything you want at back
A different strategy would be something like 1 scorpion 2 whale 3 tiger 4,5 maybe like a turkey

Whale is one of my favorite pets.
Might seem weird but I really like Swan (lv 3) With Dragon, (lv 2) With Buffalo, (lv3) ik, basic.
my favorite whale team is parrot->turkey, fly, whale, deer. With higher level turkey or parrot this team is easily the best summon team in the game

i think the 1st run definitely couldve won a lot earlier if you kept the tiger over the giraffe despite the giraffe's somewhat big numbers, the spawns from the tiger whale combo wouldve probably totaled up to have higher numbers anyway, excluding the 4 or 5 buffs from the mammoths
math (assuming im right): even with a level 1 tiger and a mushroom on a level 2 mammoth, you would have gotten +18/+18 across every living unit comapred to having a dinky little 9/12 giraffe in the back, and assuming you had a level 2 tiger by then you'd get an even higher +26/26 across every alive unit
Add Tiger to the mix then you will have 3 peanut scorpions I did it and damn is it good at killing.

Did you see in the last fight how the end how the enemy Whale summoned a 24/18 unit? How did they do that? Is it Cans? They had a cat on their team so it could be.
It was level 3 whale so it summoned level 3 boar so 3x base stats 8/6
@@oskarisan Thanks! That is pretty strong. So a Mammoth with spawn at like 9/30, and a Gorilla at 18/27? That seems pretty powerful if you have an empty slot, just buy a base unit to get eaten and then spat out as a beast.

I tried the whale level 3 but got some crazy teams that already had level 3 penguins super early so I went full scumbag instead zombie fly lvl 3 and parrot level 3 cause I don't understand how some teams gets so damn lucky so fast 😅
@Burning09 yeah but for some reason I can't get level 3 mammoth or whale and zombie cricket the only ones I got left in f2p, I've been battling it the whole week, 😅 trying to get em all before the pack 3 release and nerfs that are coming. Also definitely try the lvl 3 Parrot and fly it's crazy strong think i had a turkey 3rd lvl1 slot ant lvl 2 and duck lvl 3 that game and still wrecked

Whale just has a niche but a great once paired with Deer and like the thumbnail suggest, Mushroom Scorpion.
Worm, however which it comes next, is very underwelming.

i keep wanting to go to the stream but you plug it at the start and so i want to finish the vid instead. idk much abt yt so idk if you could just put the plug at the end (immediately after finishing the challenge) or the bad outweighs the good in that situation. ive been binging your vids and have already been subbed to my knowledge and it seemed like there really is a bug that unsubs people from other channels, you could make people check it out, too

I Think it would be great for the Developers to change the Whales Agility to spiting out the animal in Front with a percantage of the Original HP and attack. And the Level of the swallowed animal depends on its own Level and not the whales. Like this are more Combos than turkey strong i guess
