@@misslyntheena it requires having stereoscopic vision, that's impossible in a (2D) video. You can see the circle a bit because the camera is not facing straight but if it were the circle would be completely invisible on the video.
I just had the strongest flashback when I saw that test! That was the EXACT test I had, well, at least thirty years ago, I would say. But I had completely forgotten about it until I saw it here.
I mean, I wear glasses myself- informative; well structured; interesting content choice... And I think there are many that would agree that your competencies lends itself to expertly executed 'natural' displays. Agreed on the 'Intentionally Unintentional'. Haha; no really, well done. Always look forward to more content, and learning more about optometry. Very fascinating.
After I had a serious car accident that caused what is called a "orbital blowout" which is essentially the bones that surround your eye socket being shattered I had to have a lot of these tests done. However the worst thing done was what I believe was testing the blood pressure of my eye, the doctor put this sharp instrument into the corner of my eye and that might have been more painful than the car accident lol.
Random question SRP but what happens if the optician can't see all of the test answers? Do you need to have good vision yourself to be an optician? Maybe that's a silly question but it just occurred to me haha
@@psn64sat63 1) SRP is an actual optometrist. 2) As someone who gives cognitive tests daily, there are definitely some tests whose answers I have memorized, and some tests I still have to check the answer key to. And Ive worked in my current job for 3 years now. If these are super common tests, then he probably knows them but if they’re not often given, then he has to use the key.
I’ve pretty much memorised which circles pop out on the Titmus test. For the Frisbee test there is no key or prompt to which circle sticks out. If you hold it close enough to your face, you can’t miss the hollowed circle. I used to work with an optometrist who had a squint, so no depth perception. I always used to wonder how he managed when it came to optic nerve cup assessment with the volk lens and slit lamp. My guess is he paid particular attention to the vessel ‘kinks’

What accent is it? Sounds a bit cockney but also more elegant. I live in London but I’m not a native speaker. The guy from TM Lewin’s “navy suit” video has the same accent.
If you had a camera with a red lense/filter and another camera with a green lense/filter set side by side, then overlapped during editing, would you be able to film stereopsis test results? Or would the viewer also have to have some kind of glasses on? I spose if it were as easy as lense-filters, 3D movies wouldn't still need spectacles to go with them lol
ASMR connaisseurs, I'm wondering: I've read in the comments he seems to have a Birmingham accent. Does the "Navy Suit for War" salesman have the same accent? Because I notice some expressions are very similar and the accent does look close at times, but my ears arent trained enough to know for sure. Thank you.

never had any idea there were so many different eye tests until your channel lol. hope you do a Frisby test for a first person perspective 😊
That’s definitely in the pipeline 😊🤙🏽
I have keratoconus....ive had Thousands of different tests done over the last 35 years!! Plus 3 cornea Transplants
I’m pretty sure the Frisby Test can’t work on a camera. It’s designed to test depth perception and stereo vision, which cameras don’t have.
You can fake any test with the power of ASMR. But I prefer these types of ASMR videos. It has an unintentional ASMR vibe
Is the patient Emily D. Baker????
Loved this video especially the plates at the beginning they reminded me of my childhood eye tests, thank you for another tingly video 🥰 xx
No problem. I was thinking to myself how nostalgic people would find these tests 😊
You're a natural for ASMR, good sir! Keep this excellent content coming. :)
Thank you kindly!
Loved seeing the different tests in this one SRP

Indeed. So many tests 😯
