You'd need a lot more than to simply warm the atmosphere and not much is known about Mars bellow the surface. Not only that, but there isn't enough water at the poles to do anything significant. Mars rotational speed, it's axis position, it's atmosphere, the sun etc. all come into affect.
The entire concept of going to mars is just outlandish.
NASA needs to throw more money into it's team of scientists working on Warp Drive. Otherwise we will never reach other planets that we have found that resemble Earth. One in particularly is nearly Earth like in every way imaginable so far. Rocky planet, looks like it has water, it orbits it's sun in the same Goldy Locks zone as Earth does. But it's about 500 light years away from us. Building faster ship engines is pointless, cause even if you could go the speed of light or near it, you'd still die and so would your children and their grand children and theirs and so on, on the way out to this planet.
Kepler-186f is the name of this planet. And on a scale from 1 to 10 used by scientists to represent how Earth Like a planet is, 1 being Earth like, and 10 being not. Kepler-186f was rated at 0.88.
This man isn't exactly as intelligent as many presume. Sure he's smart, but some of his ideas are just outlandish, and most of the work is obviously thought of and done by his engineers, not him.
