I'm glad everything worked when you buttoned it back up. Believe I would have checked before I put everything back together. Of course I'm not as experienced at this as you are.
I just finished mine up. Not a bad project, gets a little stressful pulling the wires through. There are longer wires on the Yaffe web site that is at the bottom of the bar order page. (Hard to find) ( highly recommended) the wire pull kit is worthless look at other videos use string and air. I used my stock cables and 6”Guerrilla cable extensions with the 12” Yaffe bars (Cheaper and easier) aux cables extensions available from Harley are cheap like $9 bucks. Didn’t really need. Stock clutch and brake cables were fine with the 12’s . The hardest part for me was getting the fairing back on. Ugh wasn’t starting high enough to clear top bolt holes. I did these on a 2018 street Glide CVO, factory grip heaters were long enough too. I was quoted $500-$600 from my dealer. I’m no hard core mechanic but I was able to do.
I have watched a Lot of bar installs and there are a lot of companies that sell bars. It appears bars are made from one central company and folks buy them and put their name one them. Stainless steel or chrome plated steel bars look good.
So what size bars are those and did you use the stock brakes and clutch cables? I have a 2021 street glide special and thinking of changing it to 12" bars but can I use my stock brakes and clutch cables? Please let me know thank you
How are you making sure the bars are in position? As to the bars being more forward(towards the front wheel) or back(towards the gas tank) is that just rider preference?
You should list what size these are and a link to where they can be found, would be a smart business decision I think. They look like 12”. I didn’t realize you could use the stock clutch and brake cables with these.
All Original Monkey Bars can be found on the site here, now including our pre-wired options or you can call Brady Pitmon on our sales team at: 602-576-8309
I’m 100% confident I can replace my bars (my 10 inchers came in yesterday) thanks to this video. I may not be as quick, but I won’t have to pony up $350 for my Harley shop to do it. I have. 2013 street glide. Will my cables all reach or are those extensions absolutely necessary?
Hello Mason, You should be fine. Now remember to use some good Heat-Shrink on the electrical because many times people either don’t use it and try feeding the wires through one by one, or they try and force the factory sheathing in the pipe and it tends to stick to the inside of the bar. If you have any more questions please call 602-840-6177. Thank you very much and enjoy your ride!
Hey Chris, Thank you for mentioning that. We have another video called "How to install PRE-WIRED Original Monkey Bars" where Paul discusses depinning. Check it out... th-cam.com/video/Z1uUF3jZuD0/w-d-xo.html I will try and edit that in this video ASAP.
@@bradypitmon9231 Thank you for your response and i appreciate the help. After a few failure attemps , the mig wire was great idea and of course my kit didn't come with that long shrink fit, i had to wrap those wires tight. I successfully manage to run all the wires through. I look forward to see more of your guys videos. Thanks again

How much further can the bars be pulled towards the rider
How are you making sure the bars are in position? As to the bars being more forward(towards the front wheel) or back(towards the gas tank) is that just rider preference?
Hey Zack,
Typically we run the bars parallel with the inner fairing but you can pull it back some if that’s what you prefer.

Nope top mount

Hi
Will the after market heated grips fit these??
Yes they will. Call Brady @ Bagger Nation for questions or orders.
My wires are to big to fit. I have destroyed them. Any tips on getting them to fit?
Call our store to discuss your bike and modifications that may need to be made to get the fit and style you want!
Overall it was a good video. You skipped how to de-pin and re-pin the connectors though.
