The 2024 Axpona show was clearly the best to date. It was great to see the principle designers talking about their product. Many timmmes I have asked questions that only the designers could answer.
Wow..mind expanding..my ears are blown and I wasn't even there ! Looks great in seeing all this new gear..you are blessed. So glad you could attend the show. What would we do without Steve Guttenberg..omg. Keep the hits coming, Steve most definitely !!!!
The Dynaudio room was set up perfectly. The set up made the speakers disappear. The new Elac , PS Audio, and Dayton bookshelves amazed me that there was no sub in the room. Mofi 888 were my top performers for the price. Mr Jones was so informative. It was also cool to see you in person Steve aka Adiophiliac dude.
Nice to meet you at the show, and I didn’t think to get a selfie! My bad, maybe next year! Big fan of your channel, and the advice you gave me at the show. Thank you!
My utter surprise in seeing you at the show! I would normally never go, out of my league, but I'm in the market for a preamp so I got tickets for my older brother (71 yrs.) to go. He introduced me to Klipsch in 1973. But last few years after relaxing with You Tube videos many featuring your reviews, I was really delighted to see you (fist bump and all) in that snazzy shirt, in person at the Show! You were The Man there! Hope you enjoyed it...I saw the BIG and the SMALL and about everything in between. Now I have a Rotel 1572 RC-MK II Pre in my sights... Best Wishes and know that your reviews going forward will have a magical "blessing". Keep up your good health! Living Legends need to do that!
Steve thanks for the video of the show. Looks like a lot of fun. Looking forward to your upcoming reviews of some of the equipment you showed. Rock on!
The speaker that left me aghast was a small bookshelf from Elac, the S503. Not cheap, but the sound coming out of these tiny things was MASSIVE. People kept looking around in disbelief because the bass was HUGE. No, we swear - there is no hidden subwoofer in this room. Unbelievable. I'm not an audiophile, but I mean - wow. I also learned what a difference the room makes. Speakers that blew me away elsewhere (Dali Opticon 8 MKII) sounded less than stellar in the environment they were in - but that was basically in a lobby with lots of noise, etc. etc.
Steve’s shirt game is definitely A+! He has been styling nicely, right from the start, but I think he’s upped his game significantly in recent months! 🎉❤🎉
Great show. Hearing an 845 tube, an open baffle, a garrad, single driver, zmf headphones, and so much more for the first time was really cool. Your panel was good too!
