This movie shows how to change your internal world and confidence to get what you want from outside world .. when you don’t respect yourself no one does , when you don’t think you are worthy enough no one else does and it’s all in our vibe .. this movie was such a lesson on how psychology works but people here are just stuck on office culture of government, this movie was much beyond office culture
When I left college, one of the admin dept person in his speech said, its easy to do our own work. its difficult to get work done from others.
Great comment bro... !!!
Absolutely and also when you are unconfident but wants to achieve or to get deserve more better you must work on your inner strength cause life is not such easy and straight as it looks. 😊
Sahi kaha - when you don't respect yourself no one does !!!!

Kesene notice Kiya movie Bina background music ke chal raha hai
Old is gold ❤️
Vo to mujhe bhi pata hai bhai yahi to legend hai pahle ki film kitni aachi banti thi jo bar bar dekhne ko man karta hai
Nahi kahi kahi toh tha
Good...I have not marked it...thnx
Background music ke Bina movie dekh ne ka maza hi kuch aur hai.......❤❤❤❤❤
Acting was brilliant during those times , may be that's why they skipped background music in most of the scenes
Simplicity at its best.। Thank you Basu Chaterji for a brilliant masterpiece 🙏

Old is Gold. No wonder my parents keep on watching movies like this, Chupke Chupke, Khoosurat, etc. No show off, no item numbers nothing just pure content and meaningful story.
Accha hua unhone ander bahar ni dekhi .....😋

Kaha chale gaye woh din
Hrishikesh Mukherjee shows simple stories in very beautiful way
Agar koi aur dikhaya toh shayad hum so chuke hote
The pre-computer, pre-MS office days!! 😀
I guess you have never seen an accountant using an eraser 😀

In this scene, there is a character named Narayan. In real name is also Narayan. My name is Mohandas and we used to be colleagues in Hindustan Textile Engineers Mumbai. I wonder if he remember those days in 1970!
wow sir
what a coincidence
Well I thought, May be Narayan would see my comments ..
Those days no FB or Whatsapp available, otherwise you are still in touch with him.
Sir was narayan also a malayali?
Well I have seen a lot of movies from 70's but I missed this one... This 4 min scene is enough to persuade me to go and watch it right now.
Already delayed.
You do it now. I am deadly sure you would appreciate this movie master piece.
😊😊😊👍👍👍
@@venkatarao1658what's the name of this movie?
@@AMOLKOTS1 'Choti si Baath'.
A movie that makes you understand the importance of personal development in love & romance besides being a musical entertainer.
Amol Palekar is best Actor....
But underestimated......
Natural acting.....
Natural expressions......
Clear Body language......
Excellent timing.....
Multidimensional Role.......
12, National award winner Amol sir,,, salute..
Amol Palekar is my all time favourite actor, his presentation of common man was unparalleled. Still enjoy watching his movies.
Golmaal ❤️
This movie was so nicely acted and real situation for many of us.
Thats ok but he became a left liberal.
@@sannewgen Yeah. He should have been a right conservative.
Pp
Ah the old Furniture. I do miss the furniture. When I was a Little boy and visited my dads office; his office furniture was very identical like in the film. I always imagined my office would look like this when I grow up. But time changes everything. My office furniture looks nothing like my dads did. 😄
Amol Palekar is a legend. I hate when people used to make fun of him.. especially in movie like dil to baccha hai etc. a nice good hearted movie and characterization and totally realistic.
Those who make fun of him should see Marathi movie "Aakrit" directed by himself, played a role of person who kills small girls for want of hidden treasure.Movie was based on Manwat Hatyakand.(Marathwada). However he started his Hindi film life with negative character in film " Bhumika" directed by Shyam Benegal.True actors never bother about their image n this is the beauty of Marathi stage actors.
Being a Govt. Officer, I can very much relate 😀 👌 Hope to have such aura nd command around my subordinates too 😊 Getting work done after all is an Art.
Yep..
Yes, but that applies to any organization, not only govt. you should focus on results while caring for people. You should not be tied down by past relationship you had before promotion. That is difficult.
@@prabhakarj931 In pvt company only performance matters, if any subordinate doesn't perform he's bound to get termination letter after some warning letters. That's not the case in govt offices. They have perpetual laid back attitude.
I strongly agree.
From zero to hero... I can watch this movies again n again.... My all time favourite movie...❤
Bachpan yaad agaya jab hum chote the..dd1 pr dekha krte the ye movie 🎥👌😄👏
These scenes are so Beyond time that they resemble scenerio of Government offices till today 😯😱
@Ritesh Kumar As per the movie this was Pvt. Company .
@@runningfellow yes u r right
Modern zamane ka hu fir v maanna padega boht hi achi art movie h 2 din pehle hi dekhi..✌️✌️
I hope this movie is remade now as per present time. Rajkumar Rao playing the chr of Arun & Pankaj Tripathi playing Col. Julius Nagendra Nath.

"Chhoti si baat"-Personality development at Khandala for 3 hrs .
As the saying goes....jhukti hai duniya jhukane wala chahiye...or the world is ever ready to walk all over you...this is a must watch movie for all the young college guys about to start their professional or even love life..... especially after all the media brainwashing to turn them into meek little simps and being all goody goody with no chance of benefiting from it
Good old days of seventies, miss those days, some very good films were made, some of Amol Palekar, Farooque Shaikh films were great, very nice films.
In telugu or tamil movie, there would have been huge fighting scene in office
Why, even with Amitabh Bachchan there should be a fight scene.
In fighting, people flying all over defying gravity...
Telegu is overrated.
They have same masala in every movies
0:20 that expression 😁😁😁
This is a very nice movie.. Some of the movies of 1970s and 1980s were simple and natural and it's give great satisfaction to watch it... nowadays so much money are spend to make movie like foreign location, hero should do over exersice high Tec technology but these things fails against those simple movies which after 40 or 50 years society except today s generation accept it.
One of my all time favorites......Amol Palekar sir was a perfect actor in all sense. My favorite at least next to Amitabh Bachchan as a hero till to-date.......
No superhuman strength actors & no Barbie doll actresses, only real people.
This movie is my favourite of all time...this movie gave me so much confidence.transformationof the hero in this movie was awesome..n the heroine was perfect.still applicable even at present . Amol Palekar and Sanjeev Kumar were my favourites...looks like any Indian man...one I can relate too...
But in real life it’s difficult for this character to turn around. Once identified as weakling people will pile on you.
@@sappudusappudu4329 but with proper training n self confidence I think we can...
It doesn't work so nicely in real life. Once you are marked as naturally weak, people keep testing you even if they sense you are trying to change.
Agreed 👍
No you are wrong, Once you changed inside, nobody can test you or it will turn as acid test for tester.
No one would want to work like a boss like this.......it will create hate towards him, employees will not show dedication towards their work, which will lead to decreased performance. If you think you are a ringmaster controlling lions in a circus, then remember that you cannot use fear and strictness to control people for long. They will stop valuing you.
@@youtubeking2686 no you are wrong. He behaved like strict boss when the employees were arrogant and rude towards him in beginning. Junior are not boss of their bosses. If juniors are already good and bosses still behave this way then it is a an unwanted behaviour. But here junior are testing his boss self respect. I could relate to it , because I was so good with my juniors but they constantly ignored works. Played songs during on office seats. Talked loudly in office premises.
When you change like this I think what is disappointing that people don’t really care and move on to other “target’
There’s such a feel good factor to watch these movies.
Such a wonderful movie with very practical useful tips👍🏻
This is called class👌👌
🔱🇮🇳🔱🇮🇳🔱
Amol Palekar sir is the most under rated actor of his generations.
Big fan of amol palekar sir and Ashoke kumar ji❤
I love this movie. It gives u a peep into the lives of peope of that time. And the innocence of the era
I think Raj Kumar Rao is one of the modern actors who can act out such comical situations.
.....😊.....yes....!.....
Rajkumar rao is new generation of Amol palekar........amol sir was specialise in 'highlighting' these day-to-day hazardous situation in comedies like this movie n others(golmaal etc.)....this was the 'magic' of 'the institute' from where amol sir was expert in .....like his colleagues Satish, rakesh, Ravi etc....v miss this types of hilarious family dramas since so many years n may be v won't be able to n-joy this genre movies in future.....thanks.....👍.....
This was a serious scene.
I love this movie because it's very relatable to my life & my ex boss used to call me Amol Palekar😅. But by the time I changed to this smarter version, the Bindya in my life got married to someone else. Not the happy ending we all expect after watching Hindi movies 😢
I saw this movie about 30 times I love it
This scene is so brilliantly picturised ....what a transformation in the man!!❤ मै कर दूंगा सर 😅
This is a practical lesson to new promotees on how to change your style, of course without the cheating.
Best timepass movie. Miss Ashok da. . A gem that he was , always be remembered 💖
Look how he has dealt with peon...what writing ...amazing
Dil chahta hay 1976 mein he wapis chalay jaye....pursakoon Zindagi, no tech life❤❤
आजकल तो बैकग्राउंड म्यूजिक के बिना मूवी बनना ही असंभव है, पब्लिक बीच में ही भाग जाएगी😂😂😂😂
This is master class from the golden era, I feel so connected to this movie that it has become a part of my life.
I love to watch this movie again and again.👍
Amol sir ki har ek film awesome hai 😘
You are calling him Sir, as he demanded in that scene! 😊😊
I love Amol Palekar..💞💞
He is so cute!!❤️❤️😌😌
Excellent acting of Amol Palekar.
One the best social-comedy films ever made in India elevated by a refreshing story and brilliant performances by legendary actors
Basu Chatterjee The Legend 👍👍👍❤️
Harsh reality of office politic were innocent and hardworking, sincer people are harassed and someone takes credit of their work, I have experienced this bitter reality of life and it happens in all line of industries, NGO etc
It is the meekness, not innocence that causes. All those who are meek and submissive are not necessarily honest or hardworking. One can be sincere and hardworking and also smart and assertive.
Wish everyone has a boss like Mr.Palekar ji.
One of the best scenes ever made
I found this movie very entertaining.....instade of most Bollywood films now a days
Amol palekar my all time favourite
This is what I could move
My favourite

AMOL PALEKAR HAS THE CREDIT FOR PORTRAYAL OF COMMON MAN ASPIRATIONS .
Yeh ek film bahat Aachha film aur Gaana b Aachha hai, Yesudas ji, Asha ji aur Lata ji ka gaana b Aachha hai. Film ek taraf Comedy ka film hai, Basu Chatter ji ka comedy film bahut badhiya, unko mera Salute...Please is film ka Savi gaana upload ki jiye... (Tuna bal, 42 Mouza katak Odisha)
Very humourous film .Was the director Basu Chatterjee.
In other words this is how Some bosses abuse thier juniors.
Then you missed the essence of this scene. First know the background of the story/scene, then comment about it.
Nobody wants to work. Everyone passing the buck to their juniors.
The way to show self confidence 50 yr ago may not ne applicable in 2022
Good movie but its a copy of an English movie called School for scoundrels(1960) which is also a good movie.
Very excellent movie. Seen this movie in cinema hall and enjoyed the short clips/ trailors countless times in mobile . 😂
A Basu Chaterjee masterpiece..
Its hindi version of school of scoundrels 1960 hollywood film
Old offices used to have so many staff now it is shrinking
Amol Palekar is just tooo good.
An office without laptops or computers. Those were simple times.
very nice movie . of that era. mast .
Workers have to learn good manners 🙏
I think this movie must be in the syllabus of MBA ,which helps for personality growth.
Two great actors in one frame!
Always refreshing and evergreen movie
Happy दीपावली अमोल पालेकार साब
Best director producer technision
Ashok Kumar Sahab was my favourite actor ..
And Amol Palekar was doing all these things only for impressing his crush girl, Vidya Sinha
One of my favourite movie and my favourite Indian actor
No computer, no laptop, no mobile 😂
Sigma male 🔥🔥

That's nariman point office scene, Express building Mumbai
This is how you command respect and stop being a nice guy.
Life is too short to get command as though corporate world is the final destination.
Ajj bhi mere favorite movie mein se ek hai.
Iam a.big fan of Amol palekar sir
Me too
Amazing and memorable background music and soundtrack.
Very simple and very handsome hero in Bollywood industry
😅 So funny!!!! Old is gold👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍77👍👍
Thank you very much!
This movie is inspires me every time.
all spacious office of narimon point .I remember DWD pharma office same environment
A wonderful message for the day
Never change yourself for a girl If she loves you then she will accept whatever you are in real
Changing for the better and self motivated change like Arun in the film did is the best. He became a better version of himself. Prabha never asked him to change. He himself felt the need to be more self confident and become a better communicator in his life. And because he wanted to change he got better success both in personal and professional life. Thats the message of the movie. In the last scene they show Asrani's character also deciding to improve his personality.
The modern day "be yourself" mantra should be rechristened "be a better version of yourself".
Really 🗝️ old is gold.
This movie is real motivation.
Nothing has changed till today, work culture remains the same even today across India.
It's even worse in government offices.
One of the reasons why India has not become a developed nation is precisely because of Indians pulling Indian down out of jealousy or out of strong desire to command respect from others and to assert authority.
Europe has evolved their labour codes and have safeguards in place to check exploitative employers.
Very true ..and this culture will never change...its worse now ...its hire and fire policy...no labour law to safeguard employees from such unfair practices by employers.
European wealth and intellectuality is all because of loot. Europe is already in deep shit ..wait 50 years n watch it crumble 😂😂. India n China were most powerful economy before Brits plundered them ..we will get back where we were. Evolved lol ... with feminism taking roots family unit has been destroyed so much so that their native white population is threatened. Thanks to socialist crap western world is mired with white guilt...sure sign of terminal decline..Guess who are most populous thus most deserving of enjoying the looted wealth of west 😀😀
@@spss3061 Any typical politician in India would say exactly the same thing cause he can't admit the issues at hand and it's a good way to escape accountability.
Blaming things on past is very easy anyone can do that but more than 75 years of independence is time enough to fix things which does not need wealth but only legislations with good intention.
@@pandit-jee-bihar fantastic ...spot on ... that's exactly the truth .. our common ppl have not gotten the real independence yet ..
Who else noticed, Laxmi and Narayan 😂
Plz provide this traner again I realy need it😊
It's nariman point, Fort offices of Mumbai where these things happen
