They also take form of what you fear of the most, for example: Evan is afraid of the animatronics so they take shape of nightmarish versions of them. Michael is afraid of himself so they take form of his emotions, I guess? Usually when someone has Nightmares, they generally have a group of them. They can also have different abilities, for instance, Michael’s Nightmares has the ability to shape-shift, teleport, make people hallucinate, destroy anything besides metal, and shoot these weird, red, energy balls- Evan’s can turn invisible, teleport, shrink themselves, paralyze people, and also make you hallucinate. They also hate light, and have the ability to draw darkness toward themselves. They prey on strong negative emotions like fear, anger, sadness, jealousy, etc. THIS IS COMPLETELY MADE UP. Everything is original from my imagination. This is not canon at all.

Hmm, wow good question, I’ve never thought of that. Well they’re kinda attached to your soul after a while, but they’re not actually part of you. I don’t know if it’s even possible to get rid of your fears and regrets even if you push the thoughts away, they can still adapt and change their forms. Through, the less fear and negative emotions the host has, the less powerful they are. Michael has tried to not show any negative emotions (besides his personality lol-) but the mental thoughts in his head can’t be erased.
