After her song "Dzanum" which went viral all over the world thanks to Tiktok, now we have a sequel in the form of Ramonda. The title of Teya's song "Ramonda" references a flower known by its latin name "Ramonda serbica", an endemic species that only grows in Serbia, which is known for its ability to completely dry out and still revive once it gets water, a flower that can straight up come back from undead. Very similar to Ramonda Serbica is Natalie's Ramonda, flower of the same genus, In Serbia it's known as "Natalijina ramonda" named after the XIX century Serbian queen Natalija Obrenović and it's used as a symbol of victory in WWI. In Serbia, to mark this day we wear a phoenix flower - Natalie's Ramonda, capable of resurrection, just as Serbia after WWI, in which it lost almost 1/3 of people. In fact, the song can also talk about loneliness and the ability to have everything in its place one day. Just like Ramonda flower only needs a drop of water to come alive.

This year Serbia and France have only ballads, same happened in 2007 when Serbia won Eurovision. Eurovisionworld has all translations. A flower Serbia Ramonda native to Serbia is symbol of Serbia for first great war as it is poppy in UK. Ramonda can completely die and only one drop of water it takes to come back to life. During WWI Serbia lost 1/3 of population and it has recovered like flower Ramonda. Ramonda is like Phoenix bird.

The song's message is about peace and is anti war. I reckon many people/countries can relate to that, so that's why it will definitely do well.

Ramonda Serbica - an endemic type of flower that grows only in Serbia. It is a symbol of survival. One drop of water is enough to revive a completely dry and dead flower. Serbian phoenix is alternative name of the Ramonda serbica.

For those who (perhaps) don't know, the ramonda is our endemic flower species (Ramonda Serbica) and a symbol of the suffering of the Serbs in World War I against Austria-Hungary, i.e. Armistice Day (November 11, 1918) and the final victory. Ramonda is a symbol of Serbia, victory, rebirth and eternity. It is also called the phoenix flower, because it is specific in that it can dry up, and only one drop of water is enough to revive it completely. It was discovered by Josif Pancic in 1874, on Mount Rtanj, near Sokobanja. The song of Teye Dora has strong symbolism, good music with traditional (Byzantine and Serbian) elements, arrangement and text, and in the text I especially like the (Serbian) motifs of the star Danica and Ramonda, as well as the beginning, whose rhythmicity and parallelism are very they remind us of our folk (oral) literature. Not to mention her voice. PS. Armistice Day is a non-working day in Serbia, and it is also celebrated in Great Britain, Belgium, New Zealand and France, while it is "Remembrance Day" in the countries of the British Commonwealth, and "Veterans Day" in the USA.

    I don't have i don't have I have no peace
    I have no sleep Night
    won't allow day to come
It's hard for the one who's alone
Everything is as quiet as under water.
I'm screaming but I am not heard
    Behind the mountains white glow
    I can't see the end
This road is for the wounded.
There's no one to lead me
To the lights of star Danica (morning star)
The world is burning, every flower
Where did the purple ramonda go?
Purple Ramonda Purple Ramonda Purple Ramonda
    Purple Ramonda Ramonda Purple Ramonda
    Purple Ramonda Purple Ramonda
There's no one to lead me
'Cause the stars are all asleep
    Prayers don't help either
Where did the purple ramonda go?
Purple Ramonda Purple Ramonda Purple Ramonda
    Purple Ramonda Purple Ramonda
Purple Ramonda Purple Ramonda Purple Ramonda Ramonda
Purple Ramonda Purple Ramonda Purple Ramonda
    From the ashes rises
    One purple ramonda

"Ramonda" is a flower called "Ramonda serbica" in Latin, a species endemic to Serbia. The flower is capable of surviving extremely harsh conditions. Even if it is completely withered, just a few drops of water can revive it. The flower, also known as the 'phoenix flower', symbolises the unprecedented suffering of the Serbian Army (during the Great Retreat) that managed to rise victoriously like a phoenix from the ashes at the World War I, in which Serbia lost one third of its population.
    * Danica is a feminine name personifying the morning star in Slavic mythology; it can be found in Serbian lyric poetry
** Lilac is the pale purple colour in this context, not the type of flower
