I still feel confused as to what those in Heaven, especially loves ones, know about those of us on earth.... and, if they could possibly contact us if the Lord allows.

I was going to mention the cloud of witnesses (Heb 12) to those who miss loved ones in the LORD. Ever held hands in a circle to pray? Imagine holding God's hand on this side and the beloved believer in glory holding His hand on the other side. You can't see around God (He's so big) but you know they aren't far. Jesus said in Matt 4:14 that the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.
A nice thought if you haven't had it.

You're wrong on one aspect. I have studied many NDE's and there's as many that have claimed to have seen hell as there are that claimed they saw Heaven. Many have never written a book. In fact most have not. I believe there are more truths then lies when it comes to the percentage of people who claimed to have visited either place.
