DVS may be the big news for people who use it, and Neural Mix Vinyl is a big innovation, so I can see why this is the headline feature of djay Pro AI 4. I’d argue, however, that the new audio engine and other app improvements in this update will be the biggest deal for most of us. Glad to see Algoriddim dropping new surprises!
Virtual DJ has had the feature to remove lyrics (create instrumentals) and remove the beat (create acapellas) on the fly as well, but all this is done through the computer so doing it on a mobile phone definitely is innovative. Serato is so far behind at this point it's kind of sad.
This software is absolutely flawless on my old iPhone 6, my mac mini, or the iPad. Flawless. No gimmicks here - plays nicely with my turntables+numark scratch and any controller I've plugged into it.

Wow what a huge evolution for this app, im completely switched to djay, no other software can offer this! With Neuromix future is now! Unbelievable my iPad and IPhone became mixing powerhouses, to my surprise - the support for midi controllers is great! You can hook up anything you want - great job!
This is a new dimension for Djay . I’ve kind of mention it back then around in 2010 that it was time because of Serato😅 but I guess it took all this time where the DJ technology has really changed that it was time for the DVS to blend in and that’s awsome😊.
Traktor was buried about five years ago. Only legacy users still using it, I think. I don't think kids getting into this thing of ours today are jumping on Traktor. If they are, it's with second hand equipment just to get their feet wet (it's what their older brothers and cousins have collecting dust on the shelves). Guitar Center is awash with used Traktor controllers. Traktor DJ 2 is no longer available on iPhones, it used to be. They haven't updated their iPad app in over a year, they stopped supporting legacy equipment (Traktor Audio 2). I abandoned Traktor Pro 2 on a laptop about 6 years ago. I switched over to XDJ-700s, music prepared in Rekordbox ahead of time (no PC) and haven't looked back. Recently augmented the system with an iPad Pro, Algoriddim's djay and a Numark DJ3GO2 Touch. Works absolutely fantastic. And now you can DVS on a PHONE?! I knew that Serato not wanting to branch into iOS apps would bite them in the rear. This video is what some people needed: the "OK" to use iPads and iPhones for professional DJ'ing. We may see Serato lose some control of the market.
As an old Traktor user I can't disagree. They are so far behind now, it's gonna take a huge investment of both time and money for them to catch up. Shame, it was so good 10 years ago.

After reading that it can be used with other types of control vinyl I was thinking that Phase might work, thank you for confirming this, I can’t wait to try it out. Djay has made great leaps in capabilities, I’ve been using it since it was first released many years ago and was using other DVS compatible DJ apps, but now that DJay has DVS, Neural Mix, Tidal Compatibility and iPad compatibility…. It’s probably the best Djay app I have. Now I’m hoping for plug and play compatibility with my Mixars Duo MKII and then we are good to go! Thanks again!
Damn... I just got a DJM S7 and an M1 MacBook and definitively will try this, if I had known in advance I would have bought an iPad instead as DJing is the only reason I use laptops.
I hope they update the “slip mode” so the play/pause feature and hot cue function during slip mode. Also a toggle for slip would be great too. Once this done you will have the ultimate machine here!!

Hands down, DJ Angelo, once again, floors me with this excellent detailed review of Algoriddim's new software. In fact, the only thing greater than the impressiveness of this particular review, is my disappointment that the software doesn't seem to be available for the Android system. 😞
My point exactly. I'm aware that there is an Android version, but the software is not the same, and the software that supports the stems is not available for the Android system. I can deal with the lag. I'm an old school dj, so I could deal with belt drive systems.
I managed to connect it smoothly to the XONE 96 with DVS working perfectly and all... There is ONE SINGLE issue that makes absolutely no sense to me... the Equaliser works only POST-FADER... and I have absolutely no idea why. To be clear, I can change the EQ on any channel but only once the channel is live, there is no way to change the EQ on cue...Any idea?

can anyone figure out how to use our serato playlist here ? there is a crate that shows all the serato folders but when u click on one of them and select a song it says the track cannot be played because its not available yet i see all my serato folders
thats too much for me right now, djing over 20 y and got all stuff, i am use traktor right now. but this blow my mind aways. i was travelling around my country to get some instrumental version, and search the hole internet to find some seriouse instrumentals for my hobby, thats was a big game for me,but now i just flip the track and got it. thinks done 😛
Too bad Algoriddim doesn't really explain how to adjust the settings with for instance a Denon DS1. I have it connected to my turntables and my iPhone, DVS works, but NO OUTPUT from the Denon DS1 to my analog A&H mixer (no matter which settings I use in the menu).

Problem I have encountered time after time : it does NOT remember the hot cues ... loads them each time either behind or before where you set them ... and if you use TIDAL tracks ... some of them don't even start from the very beginning.

I think now you can connect it directly with some software over USB, no need to deal with RCAs and a sound card this way. Could be enabler for hybrid DVS/controller setups. Now regarding the other features, I’ve already raised them in your forums (DVS, external routing on iOS, better engine, better streaming platform support were all among them 🤩👍) and the most recent I raised is for adding support for DJ lighting and Hue/Zigbee devices. Would be a full coverage of what a DJ needs be it at home or in the field ☺️
This is amazing and I def want to try it on my mac, but I wish it wasn't tied to IOS. Imagine the new mixers that would come out if they could just include an android screen! We could preform with just a USB drive and have all settings, songs, and options without a laptop, phone , CDs, or vinyl. The apple framework limits the possibilities.

Hi - I just picked up an S7 as algoriddim said my S9 is not supported for IOS. I am trying to get it to work but am having issues - Got Phase tone on LINE channels and coming through speakers but when I switch channel to USB A (where iPad Pro is) there’s no control. Fed up trying to get help at Algoriddim. Can anyone tell me if I’m doing something wrong or stupid. ? - Weird thing is that Djay hears the tone and links and i can control the Djay app platters . But its tone NOT music ! …. Any help much appreciated.

Technically, with Djay’s audio device aggregation capabilities, you could even imagine using a non DVS enabled USB controller and a dual stereo input audio card and do hybrid controller/DVS mixing. I like having such versatility.
As a long time Serato user this absolutely blows my mind… and from a phone non-the-less.

That's really disappointing that there's no android version
There is an Android version but it does not have neural mix (no stems) and it has noticable lag on most Android phones and tablets out there.

Hi Michal, djay Pro AI on macOS and iOS supports standard time code DVS systems that use a control tone of 1kHz (which the vast majority of DVS systems nowadays do). Have a nice day!

Hi Alexandros, Phase DVS uses the standard DVS control tone (1 kHZ control tone), which is supported by djay. Basically any standard DVS (1 kHZ control tone) system is supported by djay. Other uses of Phase outside of this functionality we can’t really speak to. Hope that helps!

@@AlgoriddimOfficial thank you for your answer, I was meaning the USB mode of Phase. I think now you can connect it directly with some software over USB, no need to deal with RCAs and a sound card this way. Could be enabler for hybrid DVS/controller setups.
Now regarding the other features, I’ve already raised them in your forums (DVS, external routing on iOS, better engine, better streaming platform support were all among them 🤩👍) and the most recent I raised is for adding support for DJ lighting and Hue/Zigbee devices. Would be a full coverage of what a DJ needs be it at home or in the field ☺️

This is amazing and I def want to try it on my mac, but I wish it wasn't tied to IOS. Imagine the new mixers that would come out if they could just include an android screen! We could preform with just a USB drive and have all settings, songs, and options without a laptop, phone , CDs, or vinyl. The apple framework limits the possibilities.

Hi - I just picked up an S7 as algoriddim said my S9 is not supported for IOS. I am trying to get it to work but am having issues - Got Phase tone on LINE channels and coming through speakers but when I switch channel to USB A (where iPad Pro is) there’s no control. Fed up trying to get help at Algoriddim. Can anyone tell me if I’m doing something wrong or stupid. ? - Weird thing is that Djay hears the tone and links and i can control the Djay app platters . But its tone NOT music ! …. Any help much appreciated.

Technically, with Djay’s audio device aggregation capabilities, you could even imagine using a non DVS enabled USB controller and a dual stereo input audio card and do hybrid controller/DVS mixing.
I like having such versatility.
