I watched this on Netflix with my young daughter and i would say it was a little bit grown up for her - presumably this is more about nostalgia for those who grew up with the series. But it is surprisingly enjoyable and did make me laugh out loud in places

I'm gonna be honest! Growing up when I was 12, I actually saw a trailer for a fan made live-action movie based on Dora the Explorer, which was actually from College Humor! I remember when they did something called "Dora the Explorer and the Destiny Medallion", and I was hoping that they would make a REAL live-action movie of Dora the Explorer exactly like that! I'm so glad they finally made a movie called "Dora and the Lost City of Gold", and I honestly think it's even better than what I was actually hoping for! Dora and the Lost City of Gold is one of my favorite Nickelodeon movies of all-time!
