I completed Math 12 about 25 years ago. Recently i started a Computer Science course online that is data science oriented. It is super math heavy and it expects you to have a working knowledge of at least math 12. So I am watching your video's and relearning everything I have forgotten in the past decades. TY for making these video's available. I only wish I had practice work to do to make it stick. I am on disability and have nothing but time and decided to learn to program computers and the math you teach is what I needed to keep going in the class I am taking. It is heavy in statistics and probability. In fact some of it is glossed over as being to advanced for entry level college students and we are simply told to input the formulas and we will learn them later in another class later in our development.
May I know what age are the year 9 kids? I have seen use of these notations a lot, and the schooling system in my country seems to be a little different than others. In my country for example, for the Year 9 (Also known as Class 9 / 9th Grade), the students are 13-14 year old. Either the age groups are different, or the syllabus levels are different in various education systems for a class. I want to know yours to clear it out.
@@asadfarraj Sorry if I'm replying too late to this. I don't know where the original commenter lives, but where I live, we did this at the end of year 9 in a higher level maths class. Kids in year nine are usually 14 turning 15 here in Australia.
@@usernamenotfound6515 Wait, that's the same as ours.. But the thing is, we in India did this in 6th and 8th Class. How are y'all learning this so... later?
@@asadfarraj Again, sorry for the late reply lol. Australia doesn't have a great educational system if I'm honest, so yeah we probably do a few things later then other countries. For example, when I started year 7 many students didn't even know their times tables. I was lucky enough to have a teacher that made sure to teach me in year 4, but I had to teach my younger brother because the school didn't make sure he new them. I think it factors in to the fact that there is no test you have to take to pass a year level. provided that you aren't massively behind, you kind of you get sent to the next year level.
I never wanted to relearn math I missed in middle school because it seemed like such a hassle. But with you being in front of the whiteboard it isn't boring and I'm finally learning what I missed. Thank you Eddie!
Hi I'm 27 and I've never commented on TH-cam but you are an amazing teacher Eddie thank you for sharing your gift!
Eddie is the best teacher on TH-cam
"Simplification means lots of things". That helps a lot. Thank you, Mr. Woo
