    I was hoping to see the lens in action in medium format, and also how bad the vignetting was. As far as the xh1 that’s of course crop sensor so you’re at about 35mm you would be better off simply putting it on a used full frame Nikon that would be the same cost and way better quality.

    Ive got the 28mm pc f4 pre ai and cannot use it on my Nikon d810 , I can use it on Fuji xt1 but there is crop factor. This digital photo world is very convoluted.

    I have this lens on my GFX 50R. It's a decent performer, but not in the same league as my SMC Pentax-A 645 35mm f/3.5. I kept it for the times when I need an angle of view wider than I can get with my 35mm.

      Update: Sold it. After a lot more use its faults became more irritating. It's just not good enough for the sensor, especially with movements.

    What adapter did you use for this lens to gfx?

      It's a NIK - GFX adapter by K&F.

    I wonder whether it makes sense to mount a full frame lens on a medium format camera with an adapter.

    How the quality of the picture when you use as a strait 28 mm. The corner are mushy or sharp? Thanks

    • @joebeta
      @joebeta  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The corners are not bad at 28MM.

    How's the vingeting in the GFX 50? I'm trying to find some cheap but "good" wide angle lens for that camera. I've tried a 35mm lens from a FX camera and it's unusable (unless you crop it 15 or 20%) Any suggestions?

    • @joebeta
      @joebeta  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The vingnetting is not bad wide open. You will see vingnetting when you use the PC function, though.

      @@joebeta Re you happy overall with it as your wide lens? Or you're thinking of getting something else eventually

    • @joebeta

      FastAkira I am happy with the 28mm. It converts to a 22mm field of view so it’s wide enough for interior photos, too. Also, if you set your GFX to 35mm mode, the vignetting is very minimal.
      I also use it for video on the X-H1. It has a very pleasure look.

    I don't have that lens, and either the Fuji GFX. I'm considering buying one, and I'm an old Nikon shooter and Olympus OM. When I see your photos, then I'm pretty sure that my Zuiko 35/2.8 Shift will work with the Fuji GFX. But I also have the Nikkor 24/3.5 T&S. That one will work with GFX, but you can't change the aperture. You have to use a Nikon body to change it. Then I got a cheap Canon EF 24/3.5 T&S. That one will work flawless with GFX.
