the most frustrating thing isn't even losing the game because of these people, it's reporting them and understanding that it's useless. the punishment should be more severe, taking away points from a player so that they avoid playing ranked for some days is useless because they recharge very quickly. punishments for those who troll or have a generally toxic attitude in the game should be punished more severely and for longer, otherwise players will never learn the lesson and will continue to behave like this.
Imo, there should be a difference between disconnecting and choosing to not participate. If you disconnect, that could be due to something that's not your fault. If you're spamming in the starting area, you're actively choosing to be a dick. That should be punished more severely.

@@seejoshrun1761 that's not really something easy to do, because some people just quit the game by shutting off the console when they tilt and it has to be punished since you're going afk on purpose, it's the same thing of spamming in your base. I'd agree with you if these kind of players wouldn't be there.
What's more funny and disgusting at same time is they have so hard mic bans, like I got 10 days mic ban last time and this time it's 15 days, it just keep increasing every single time and what I got mic banned for? For telling my shell bell greedent to not take blue buff 😒

Well he played Mewtwo so he carried his pathetic teammates and still beat the opposing team after going AFK. They were so bad he didn't even have to try to beat them. They deserve to get default danced on tbh.
spragel's whole team was kinda inting and pinging nonstop from the get-go .. spragel did the healthy thing and just muted everyone. Typical mewtwo had to be typical and throw a tantrum.
Stay at base punching air. It takes exactly the same amount of effort as actually playing mewtwo ffs. Then roaming aimlessly … but *_sure_* "he carried his pathetic teammates"
This is why I quit Unite after playing daily for a year. Not even the balance issues fully broke me. It was the frequency of the toxic players/griefers that did it.
I feel the opposite about the game than I did 6 months ago and it's so unfortunate because I truly loved Unite

I rage quit a game where two players are literally sitting on home base? Lose points. Dude sits on home base during Rayquaza so they can “show us a lesson”? Nothing happens. It’s fucking unreal.

Same here. I played pretty much daily since the Switch launch but teammates are so bad or grief so often that I just can't take it any more. Not sure how long it'll be until I return, but I'm over it for now.

I recognize that the mewtwo player is trolling in the midgame but I think we also need to callout the goodra that started it. The goodra switched to top after dying and left the decidueye to lane by himself in the bot, where he got destroyed and forced mewtwo to switch to a losing lane. So both the decidueye and the mewtwo were frustrated by someone not doing their early game role. Again, doesn't excuse the mewtwo player's behavior midgame but we really need to call out the toxic behavior of the goodra too.
The first sane comment i read here. Yep the goudra throwed the game so Mewtoo was justified
throwing because someone else is throwing is never "justified" but it *_is_* inevitable.
There was also the nonstop pinging, and spragels did the healthy thing just muting everyone, but otherwise that spamming can really add insult to injury when one is already putting up with garbage teammates.
The amount of players I team with on randoms that never try to fight for objectives or help teammates score is atrocious

If you're playing ranked you should at least know how to play and what things on the map actually do. Also stop going for eleki over rock/ice/steel, a few points lost there can be recovered at ray
The triple unite on spragels was the biggest throw in history of this game. The enemy team deserved to lose the game after that.

Actually that's a good reminder. I have forgotten that people might need to put the game down to deal with stuff IRL sometimes.
I mean, if you're playing rank and you leave the game for any reason you're still throwing, even if not maliciously. In standard that's fine, but you need to make sure you have your obligations cleared before you get into a rank match. Also this isn't LoL, it's just 10 minutes. Yes, there are emergencies sometimes and that's unfortunate, but your team has no way of knowing that, so we can't really blame them for reporting you. But I also think you can kinda tell if someone is intentionally trolling. One thing is someone suddenly standing still in the middle of a fight and coming back after a couple minutes. Another thing is someone getting koed after running into the opponent's goal and never leaving base again. You can tell the one who's butthurt.
I had to stop playing last night I had two games in a row with teammates fighting over jungle then the guy out of position goes to the wrong lane when he does decide to leave jungle....... then they would die and afk and spam "Thanks!"
You can silence that by hitting the microphone icon behind their name in the start menu at least.
It's so hard when this happens because even if you report them it's so hard for them to actually get counted since they were technically moving so your rank goes down even though you did everything right

they really need to fix this system but it would likely take more employees (real actual humans actually looking at the battle & making a determination), which means more money, which means realistically it won't happen anytime soon unless there's a bigger movement within the player base.
The other thing is different players have different complaints, and so many people are just mad about having to spend a single cent to unlock the newest mons, so the more rational critiques get lost in the noise.
Poor spragels had to deal with the bad mewtwo and still helped him win 😭
Did all the extra credit and got graded on a curve.
I think it's time to teach some lessons.

I hate it when enemy Pokemon UNITE. At least my team could try doing the exact same thing, but nope. Everyone's selfish on my team. They're just trying to get MVP, while I'm stuck at Rayquaza/Zapdos trying to rip while the enemy team makes it their mission to take me out (I'm a Cinderace main, and life's hard like this).
I bet half of this comment section will be like "i hate having players that don't help!" Knowing damn well they don't help their team mates either 💀

Support main literally depend on teammates. If they're not competent you're screwed as hell no matter how well you play support.
@@ikram1572 fr, whenever I'm in the mood I'll go ahead and play a supporter and I always get the players that don't get involved in team fights and only farm, so I just leave them and help my teammates that are actually doing something
Speak for yourself. I once played Cinderace and I saved an ally Slowbro who was on low HP with Blaze Kick by pushing them away and I distracted them while they retreated.
Anyone can play support, but good players play well with their team and pitch in when it matters.

They need to remove the unstoppable effect from both mewtwos when they use qsy strike
Mewtwo's moveset is just sooo overloaded. Stuns, slows, unstoppable, damage, everything. What an insane design, and what a boring one, too...
Probably should turn it into hindrance resistance, or reduce the duration, or make Mewtwo slow down while channeling. Also I don't know why Mewtwo y still has two teleports😶 and yeah we all know the unite move is busted.
Playing ranked this season is hard, there's always those idiotic teammates who pick glasscannons that doesn't work well earlygame

@@aquablast3155 Yeah, it's very visible that it's somewhat getting to him at this point which is understandable. Straight up calling people trash as opposed to just calling them bad players is a huge change in my opinion.

I believe the Zacian and Mewtwos meta really generated a powerless feeling and accelerated the frustration of many players

I think it’s warranted here. Having your game ruined because someone gets upset and tries to lose it for the whole team because of something petty is the worst. At least this M2 didn’t feed the enemy.
Nah, you gotta call things what they are. That Mewtwo player is trash, simply put. And a vast majority of the Mewtwo players I have seen are. Yeah, not ALL of them, but MOST of them, to the point you're more correct calling every Mewtwo player trash than to call them out singularly.

Thanks for the vid Jake! I consider buying D-pult recently but seeing it kinda weak in this meta, I just prefer buying Trevenant because oh boy, Attacker sure fill the team a lot more than Defender. Maybe in I will buy D-pult much sooner if Unite decided to buff it a little because it's too squish.
Ya,kinda regret buying the attackers I have since defenders are the only role I get to play in solo q. Even when I get to play an all-rounder or attacker I can't really trust the person who chose the defender role cuz they do everything but defend 🤦♂️

It's a bad decidueye, instead of firing arrows from range, you are that squishy arrow 😂😂😂
defenders (in general) in unite are so strong they can basically compete with most attackers if you know the macros well.
Use attack weight, especially with Phantom Force
You get 6 weight stacks and pick off enough enemy early on to stack Phantom Force, you become a menace that blows off chunks of health
I’ve had this same thing with a M2 player that quit a minute into the game, pinged me and another guy, and invited me after to tell me I sucked… I wasn’t up to a M2 player’s standards apparently… they walked into the enemy all game though to give them free kills. We did pretty good too up until the Ray fight where we lost but this guy had the audacity to get mad at the rest of us when they could even handle a full 2 minutes of the game before getting in their feels and trying to lose it. Some people just need to get off the game or eat a Snickers or something.
Cliff Notes Version: Never invite Mewtwo to Raising Canes.
Reporting players that throw matches and seeing them go unpunished is the worst. Also, a ten point deduction? They have to be harsher. Otherwise, bad players know that they'll easily get away with it. So sad.
The worst ones are the ones that intentionally try to lose. I had a venu hover our jungle all game and they stole it all game while spamming retreat. Like this match, i also managed to carry just hard enough to secure ray and win the game when the rest of the team had given up. They scored when i died securing. Then we almost still lost because the Venu was just running circles in our base. They never fought and it was a 4v6 the whole game without jungle... And we WON. God i hate players like that. In other Mobas, 1 person lagging behind isnt enough to bring the whole team down but in Unite it completely ruins the game.
Feels lole a good place to rsnt about a bad game I had recently. The enemy team had 3 defenders, a jungle Goodra that went afk for a few minutes after failing the first gank, a Trev that took forever to evolve, and all of them were farming almost nonstop all game. We secured both bottom regis and maybe both top ones, they secured Rayquaza with only one alive who got koed almost immediately, but then we lost one fight in the last minute and they got in enough points to beat out several hundred point lead. Felt absolutely terrible, no idea how my team got wiped so easily at the end there

I had a Mewtwo Y player that did the same thing but it was pre-patch so it was still a very broken Pokémon to play. At the end of the game the Mewtwo Y player did a grand total of 17k damage. I thought it would be the same player I played with but the account name is different here, it could be the same player with a different account name but either way it's very frustrating to deal with.
Still stand by my statement that timing should move quick battles then standard, then ranked in menu. That will alleviate those who just pick the first mode because they want to just play the game.
It gives you whatever the last mode you played it, and Ranked isn't unlocked until Trainer Level 6. People play Ranked because they just want to play Ranked.
It's the first one always it just stays on the last one you play. But if it wasn't the first pick, it would alleviate some kids, etc, joining in that mode.
People play ranked because it gives free rewards and it's the only mode anyone plays these days, every other mode is dead and filled with bots.

I paused the video at the start to look at the team comp, and made a confident guess who the problem would be. I was not wrong.
At least he came back. I've had griefers who decide that they will troll the team by stealing all the farm on our side. It's especially frustrating because I don't even realize it's happening until we show up crazy under leveld at Ray and he's still farming the Indeedees and then in the data screen after the game it shows he did like 200 damage. Worst part is, these players never get punished.
I had experience like these yesterday were a player with there mic who chose blissey was so mean that calling people trash and being so rude, Becuase a zacian player took jungle which I called and then went to bottom which already had three people because the mimyiku got fed up of dying in top lane and switch bottom. I then my zacian, mimyiku started to fight with the blissey, and some how I got caught cross fire because the blissey thought it was me(I was playing delphox ) because I didn't do that well in the game, but here is the thing that makes me upset, I didn't do well literally because there was not team work. I was a level 11 delphox because they kept being selfish and stealing the farm, and the other team azumarill would keep on uniting me because no would help protect the lane because they were in their feelings, lastly the blissey didn't want to heal anybody and would pretend to try to heal wouldn't do it, I was like omg way are so petty it is just a game there so many other things should be upset about than pokemon unite.
Ouch. I'm sorry to hear that. I'd just disable voice chat as a matter of principle. Whatever possible benefit from that just isn't worth having your day ruined by a toxic player via VC.

Worst part of it all is whether you win or lose, these people will never change nor will attempt to learn of theor mistakes. They'll keep repeating it over and over because timi is horrible at managing these things

What made the Mewtwo player start trolling (not justifying) is the Goodra who left the owl alone in bot lane. If you're not a tank you should stay in your lane until first objective appears and let the owl die alone, but he swapped lanes with the Goodra and chaos started.
IMO, the important issue is the ranking system. It's really easy for most to climb to Master rank so it make the ones that truly play have to played with the troll and grief. For higher rank there should be a different match format and more balance in rank point, I mean I can troll for 2 match and only need to win 1 match to balance out.
Resonant guard on mamo absolutely slaps, muscle and rapid fire scarf makes him a menace.

It's strange. Usually when they afk they stay in base the whole time but this player stays in base for like a minute and then continues to play including the ray fight he was attacking with the goodra at the end. Very odd. Maybe to just make sure they can't be reported against?
Most likely, they probably got bored of just pressing A so they decided to just do something else to at least make the match somewhat entertaining for themselves.

i had a troll from when i was still ultra last week. i was very happy at first cuz we had a hoopa in our team. but they had a leftover tho so a bit of mixed feelings. but then into the game, not only they're just using HSH for damaging and not considering the utilities, but they straight up trolled and stole our jungle in the 2nd jungle rotation just because their lane got wrecked early game. and we lost obviously

Looks like around 8:30ish on the clock mewtwo dove into a 1v2 bottom lane and got rekt. Afk for about a minute. Troll farmed for the rest of the game then showed up for Ray then win. Astounding how often I see this exact kind of crap. Most often end in loss tho
What I’ll never understand is
1. How these players who lack such a fundamental misunderstanding of the game can get to masters, since the players who actually know how to play have to get ranked against competent ones to get into masters instead of being carried.
2. Why once they get into masters, people just pretend like rank doesn’t exist anymore, making it HELL to get to 1600… like if you are just gonna act as if the games don’t matter once you hit master’s, stop playing and making it worse for us who want to rank up.

Amend spagels prefect video. We all feel the same way. What do you think about taking away 40 to 80 fair play points for afkers?(can't be connection error afk) So that they can't play ranked for a couple of games. To stop them from continuing to troll other games
They should be banned from Ranked for at least a day. Maybe they get ONE game of grace period but after that its ban time.

To players that sit in base moving around or auto attacking.....that won't prevent idling punishment. Also Mewtwo didn't quit the match, there's till 5 dots in the surrender box

I recently just quit too, the match making is too bad. my big account got banned because I typed the word trash in the chatbox, 2 years of playing, account gone forever, I had everything in that account, everything. and after starting a new account, oh boy, nothing changed, i still carry 2-4 people every game, with items are not even fully leveled up, emblems that are not even close to the best fit, and I still carry. not only people can't help, they make it worse, they walk up get killed, give free exp, instead of a 5v5, its always a 4v6, or 3v7 most of the time, and what do they do? they ping non-stop, and you can't say anything because you get voice banned... this game is fucking ridiculous.
Im not disapointed in the Mewtwo player, Im disapointed in Spragles. I thought he'd be different from the other youtubers that post negativity.
Everyone gets trolls, as evident by the comment section alone. I also had a game with 2 speedster teammates fighting for jungle the entire game!! and never helped objectives!! And I'm not out here bitching about it!!
Because that was ONE game with full-on trolls. Every other game that's "bad" is made by "bad plays" not necessarily "bad players". Not all players that make bad plays are bad players. Good players make bad plays, as evident by that one vid where Crisheros was farming at Ray.
You need to distinguish bad plays from bad players. And full on trolls are NOT IN EVERY game. So rather than being pissed at EVERY game, and then pissed at the whole game, learn to differenciate trolls from bad plays. And stop being negative ALL THE FRIKING TIME. Not all bad games are made by bad players. But if YOU are CONSTANTLY bitching then you're more of a problem than any bad player out there.
By constantly putting blame on others every single game, you are in fact turning yourself into a worse player instead of looking at what YOU could have done better.
Why did you lose? Because YOU could have stolen Ray. Because YOU could have scored. Because YOU could have KO'ed them and DIDN'T!!

The Mewtwo was basically idle for about 2 minutes, not playing the game, and Spragels is disappointed because he gave the win to a bad teammate, the mewtwo
It wouldn't even be so bad if this only happened once every 50 games or something, but this is just how Unite is nearly every game. If your team doesn't have the AFK troll then it's on the other team and that's why you had such an easy game. There's just no reason not to do it. You either luck into a win or nothing happens to you. Game doesn't even detect an afk most of the time.
So annoying when the surrender vote can show less than five, literally showing that someone has left the game, but it still doesn't count as afk.

@@Mdbcxx Unfortunately when your team votes 3-1 to not surrender and forces you to stay in the match it does count and you get all the credit for that loss.
@@KamakazeTaco I've never had that happen, I guess I've got lucky with them also surrendering. Doesn't it say above it that a teammate is unable to play or something along those lines? Idk why people wouldn't just surrender then, 4v5 isn't impossible to win but why would you want to risk it??
What timi needs to do is a proper Block button to never get paired with People cursing forever NO ONE WANTS TO PLAY WITH BAD LOSERS.. And look how toxic they are and they got super carried what a nasty fanbase

Picking Dragapult jungle is straight to grieving team because even if you get lead in early game, there's no way you can't die as a dragapult and give opponents comback experience, I mean it literally dies on 1 mew solar beam, and has no unstoppable on dragon dance, volt tackle Pikachu's favorite pokemon is dragapult, and it's not just Pikachu all the stunners would love to see dragapult 😂😂😂

I played 1 singular ranked match today and every enemy had 4000+ matches but all of my teammates combined had 1100 matches (I have 6k)
Pokémon company probably didn’t expect the game to be that popular during mobile release which already put a huge issue of long term players thinking this game would be big

Unrelated but what about Phantom Force means it should have SUCH a high cooldown? 13 seconds is insane
It makes you completely invisible and gives 15% speed increase, it auto fills your boosted attack gauge, when you exit invisibility you gain 85% increased attack speed for about 3 seconds, and if you pick Phantom Force your KOs give you a damage buff that stacks up to 8 times. Also KO against players while it's on cooldown automatically bring it back up, so if you get lucky you can chain spam Phantom Force for the increased attack speed.
I understand the longer cooldown but I definitely think 14 seconds is a bit much(Force+ only gives you an amazing 0.5 second cooldown reduction if you hit something after exiting invisibility)
one time i had a gengar player so was just running around the map doing nothing, i checked the team voice chat and he was just roleplaying, smh to those a hole players

I have so many problems with mewtwo:
1. The achievment "getting 160 kills with the unite" is absurd cuz i gotta do it for both mewtwos
2. If the other team has a mewtwo and we dont, i know we lost
3. When both teams get mewtwos, im always stuck with the one that doesnt know how to play the game in general
4. They always seem to go AFK for no reason at all, like you didnt just steal one of the strongest characters to play from the team just to sit there
5. I forgot another reason to be mad 😠
What if all the Mewtwos in Masters were carried there by Jake?
I get AFK player about 40% of the time when I play 😅
I hate that my rank has to suffer because a teammate is trash
Mewtwo Y players are that one person that never ready up.
When you’re not even mad that you won, just disappointed.
Mewtwo players never return their cart at the grocery store
Their punishement is staying on a game they don't want to be... so you did punish your mewtwo by making him stay in the game 🤭😅
