A little context on the guy that pulled the snake from his pants. He was laying on the ground working underneath his truck when this Eastern Brown snake(2nd most venomous snake in Australia) slithered up his pant leg. He had to be careful enough to sit up and not move around much and quick to grab it and throw it so he didn't take a bite.
With no weapons or anything to protect themselves wtf kinda thinking is that. Especially the dudes with the bears and cougars or whatever cat they were.
There's a mountain lion that naps on my patio every few weeks. Made cat-pals with him through the glass door. Even risked 2 fingers to pet him once. Don't. That tongue is a belt sander. 3 licks drew blood. Point is... he don't scare me. I thought. I walked outside to get the grill ready once, and part of my patio stood up quickly and growled. Ngl. If I hadn't just pooped, I'd need clean drawers. Two fingers from a sliding glass door is an acceptable risk to give chin scritchies to a kitbull. But I got no desire to test that further. I felt his kisses. I think his biscuits might be deadlier than Popeye's.
The dude begging with the mountain is smart. Turning your back is the worst thing you can do 😂 then they see you as prey, if you back away slowly & face them much more likely they'll retreat since they go out of their way to avoid people
We have mountain lions here too. He did correctly. NEVER turn your back on a mountain lion. NEVER RUN. Walk backwards facing it and DONT FALL. RUNNING is telling it your prey TURNING AROUND is telling it your prey.
Mountain lions are surprise attack animals. They were just trying to get the guys to gtfo their area. If it wanted to kill them, it wouldve done so without the person even knowing it was there in the first place but yeah, scary either way

We aren’t on their menu. Sharks simply make big mistakes. They’re basically sea wild dogs with bad eyesight. Still probably shouldn’t’ve been in the water, but excess splashing and running away only attracts sharks more than repels them, and they *will* outswim you and bite you if you make yourself look like a struggling seal or other marine animal. I guess a way of looking at it would be to imagine you’re looking at a plate of fries, and you take a bite of one and it’s actually asparagus. Like, it’s edible, but just not something you would want to eat to satisfy your hunger, and so you leave the rest of it after realizing your mistake.
When my husband and I used to take the kids camping when they were younger, there was not very many Black people camping. My kids friends that would go with us. Sometimes it was the first time they ever been in the woods. But now I see a lot more Black people kayaking, and on trails and camping and I’m so glad because it is such a great way to spend time with family where you’re actually spending time with them and you’re having real conversations. It’s a great way to stay healthy and fit. Our boys friends from childhood still talk about going on camping trips as some of the best times they had and the best memories they had as kids. State parks and recreational facilities, lakes, rivers, Creek, etc. or for everybody. We pay taxes for those and we need to use them.

The most damage the hammerhead could do to the guy is rub his skin against him. The Reason it didn't attack him when it swam at him is because it realized it wasn't what it thought it was ( whatever they typically eat ) it realized it was a much bigger animal, notice how after it realized it was another Predator, it backed away and maintained its distance. Sharks are a lot smarter than we think and they've been on our planet longer than we have been as well. Plus it was a Hammerhead, they arent known to attack humans unless its in defense, or its starving. Sharks are very inquisitive, and do know what human beings are, we arent something that is food to them.
