  • ✨Hey mamas! Today I’m sharing with you my experiences as a working homeschool mom, how things are going, and what our plans are moving forward!
Many of you have been asking for an update on how things have been going since our big transition, so I took this opportunity to share that in this video as well! This video is part of a collab with a bunch of other working homeschool mamas, hosted by my friend Gina @ginabhomeschool !
    Check out Gina’s channel here: / @lifewithginab
Watch the playlist here: • Working Homeschool Mom...
Let me know, are you a working homeschool mama too? Share your thoughts down below!
New here? Introduce yourself in the comments!
    I’ll go first:
I’m Christina. I’m married to my best friend, Seth, we have 5 kids (ages 1, 2, 6, 10, & 13), and love our family, Jesus, and adventuring together.
We are passionate about being counter culture, including alternatives to traditional schooling. I am a public high school English teacher, turned homeschooling mom, turned middle school English teacher at a small Christian school. I’m hybrid homeschooling + Christian-schooling our five kids. Homeschooling is a lifestyle and a culture that will always be part of our family culture!
I love the Charlotte Mason education approach, and many others, but I’d say I’m more of an eclectic teacher-mixing the different aspects of homeschool styles that I love-living books, literature-based learning, Montessori, and so much more!
Just as I brought what I learned through teaching into homeschooling, I am so excited to bring what I’ve learned homeschooling back into teaching!
Whether you are considering homeschooling, new to homeschooling, considering alternative ways to educate your child, or just looking for some encouragement and inspiration for your motherhood journey, I hope you feel welcome and encouraged here 🤍

Growing up, our family dynamics were often in flux as a homeschool family. Personally, I never went back to public school, but my brothers had years at school, then years being homeschooled, then back again and so on. My mom worked from home, worked full-time outside the home, and had times where her only work was us 😄
My parents reevaluated and changed things up whenever it was needed. They discussed schooling options with us every year and collaborated with us kids to make decisions best for each of us as individuals. Education is not linear, it's never one-size-fits-all. It's supposed to be individualized! Bravo to you guys for being flexible and doing what's best for your family in the moment 🧡🧡🧡

I can be so hard to find a good rhythm for working and homeschooling, especially when you’re tired from a full day of work.

I agree, just take it year by year and see what the Lord does. He knows the plans!! Love hearing about how you are trusting Him for each step for your family 💗

It’s so easy to look ahead into the future and make your own little checklists and wishlists…. Still learning to work on that daily!

I love that it's a family affair, that you and your husband work together! Love it so much! 💕💕

This was so relatable! Your current work situation is a one-in-a-million and honestly, in my eyes, so amazing. If I had to work full-time, working in the same location as my family would be a dream! That being said, it's so hard to wait on what we really want when we are feeling that strong pull, like the pull to be home.

Thanks for the update on how your year and transition have been going. Glad to hear it has been going well. Our big change this year is that my husband just got a new remote job so now we are all at home together. It has been just wonderful, especially since our oldest will be headed off to college next year. Can't wait to hear about the constitution unit. We plan to start it after Christmas break.

Your work and homeschool has been so interesting to me since learning about it. Especially how you are currently hybrid schooling. You make it sound a bit effortless in this video lol but I think you are great at staying on top of it all and making things happen.

I can so relate to you mama... God is so good... you are blessed. If you were to ask me too... I would never think that I would be working full time and doing all the things... I feel blessed but if you were to ask me I would be homeschooling full time. But God knows best! ❤

Good video. Everyone needs to get their kids out of public schools and everyone needs to start getting creative and putting trust in each other and God.

I am in such a similar place in my life. Full time teacher, trying to find the best way to fit homeschooling in is hard. I would love to find a way to stay home, but that prayer hasn’t been answered yet
