The PDC must be having a field day with it too, Darts hasn't been this good since the Taylor Barney days and I think this even tops it because of the sheer depth in quality of all the players now
WHAT A BRILLIANT NIGHT OF DARTS. Some very good performances with 9 ton+ averages in 7 matches and all 7 were pretty much all amazing matches. Superb comebacks in there as well especially in the top half of the draw. The fact that all the scores were 6-4 and 6-5 shows how close the level is between these guys and on nights like this, winning the Bull in the backroom becomes even more crucial. The semi finals were repeats of the last 2 World finals and honestly whenever the 2 Michaels and 2 Lukes meet each other, it’s just so beautiful to watch. All of them have very aesthetic throwing actions and they make it look so easy. Their pace suit each other and they all make each other play better. Could watch these guys play all day. I thought the final would be 6-5 as well and it was never going to be any other score line. A fantastic final to end a magnificent night of darts and a very tense ending with MVG narrowly missing the Bull then once Littler got the T20 u would think its over as hes the best D10 hitter around right now but he very uncharacteristically paused before going it which probably knocked him off his rhythm. I’m sure next time he won’t do that and will just stay in the flow. I knew it’s over as soon as he missed and MVG won it last dart in hand. I wish we can get more nights like this coz that was one of the best Premier League nights I can remember. The Premier League this year looks very exciting indeed and i cant wait for next week already.
@@harry_1527 i reckon if he didnt pause he would have won the night coz of how good he is on D10. For me personally i think its better to stay in the flow in that situation between the treble and double, if u miss outside then u can take a little pause to recompose urself and go for the last dart.
Man that was some awesome dart play. I really enjoy how the young man have all them on the top of their game. You miss 1 or 2 shots and you know it's a possibility its over.

a lot of people have said Luke wasn't good enough for the tour . 2 matches , 2 finals . that is good enough . Luke has had a far different darts training than the older players . he has lived in the academy since being a child .

Nerd comment below... @17:43 If you're on 299 and hit T19 first dart don't even stay there for dart 2!! 2 darts left on 242 you are supposed to go 18s as S18T18 leaves 170 at least. I've never seen a player actually do that from 299, the only top pro I've seen doing something smart from 299 after hitting T19 first dart is Schindi who went to the bull 2nd dart which is valid as well but still more risky as if you miss outside completely you will most likely not be able to leave a finish with your last dart. (to those who care, Schindi did that at the grand prix last year vs Bunting. Went T19-25-T19 off of 299 to leave 160 then took out the 160 next visit.) But at least Schindi has done his homework and has his strategy everyone else I've seen from 299 just brainlessly continues to throw at the T19 if they hit it first dart. It's like, super simple easy math that only matters if you're actually good at darts and 95% of the players good enough to make use of it don't do it 😂 To summarize, from 299: T19-18-T18 = 170 T19-18-T19 = 167 T19-18-T20 = 164 T19-bull-25 = 167 T19-25-T20 = 157 T19-25-T19 = 160 (all finishes) T19-19-T20/T19/T18 = 163/166/169 (all bogeys (BAD!!))

Players had to work hard,especially in the final. But the audience had a treat of a final.

@17:43 If you're on 299 and hit T19 first dart don't even stay there for dart 2!! 2 darts left on 242 you are supposed to go 18s as S18T18 leaves 170 at least. I've never seen a player actually do that from 299, the only top pro I've seen doing something smart from 299 after hitting T19 first dart is Schindi who went to the bull 2nd dart which is valid as well but still more risky as if you miss outside completely you will most likely not be able to leave a finish with your last dart. (to those who care, Schindi did that at the grand prix last year vs Bunting. Went T19-25-T19 off of 299 to leave 160 then took out the 160 next visit.) But at least Schindi has done his homework and has his strategy everyone else I've seen from 299 just brainlessly continues to throw at the T19 if they hit it first dart. It's like, super simple easy math that only matters if you're actually good at darts and 95% of the players good enough to make use of it don't do it 😂
To summarize, from 299:
T19-18-T18 = 170
T19-18-T19 = 167
T19-18-T20 = 164
T19-bull-25 = 167
T19-25-T20 = 157
T19-25-T19 = 160 (all finishes)
T19-19-T20/T19/T18 = 163/166/169 (all bogeys (BAD!!))
