@@Pedro-dd9fs that scene with Gaby was one of my favorite Edie moments, the way she put Gaby to her place and gave her a lesson at the same time! I LOOOVE EDIE!
No no no no no the episode in season 5 after Edie died where they went back to say nice things about edie... THAT IS THE NICEST AND MOST GOOD THINGS SHE'S EVER DONE ON THE SHOW 😁🥰
"For the love of god. I used to check his back for acne!" *Edie looks taken a back* *Gabby looks disgusted* HAHAHA! Damn that line always cracks me up!
She hated her gay son. She was frigit in bed and in life, cutting off emotional connection and growth with her husband for public approval and her childrens development for love and support. She can cook and decorate but she wasn’t a fantastic wife
I love that when you search "desperate housewives bree" this is the first result. I wanted to see this scene again but didn't know how to search it. She should have won some awards for this scene alone
Bree was a fantastic wife and mother. So what if a little bit of a perfectionist. She put in so much effort. She didn't deserve those ungrateful children and especially that husband.
I think Bree reminds me of my mom a small bit my mom was amazing and yes a tad of ocd and a bit of a perfectionist but I look at it as she actually cared and would throw herself heart and soul and everything she did and that I think got passed on to me because I’m exactly the same Innoway and that’s honestly why Bree is more of my favorite characters
But I think that’s her character flaw.. she is so great she cannot see how she is over the top and alienates her family. She is such a psychological dichotomy and fascination.. she is at both times a shadow and glowing representation of herself. She is also her own worst enemy.
It broke my heart that Rex died thinking that Bree had poisoned him. It’s like he didn’t know her at all. I can’t blame her for throwing the wedding ring into the grave. I would have done the same.
When she said "that miserable s.o.b" you can hear the venom in her voice 😂 this is her best grieving outburst. Well maybe I'd freak out like she did if my wife thinking like Rex did.
It was especially emphatic because of Bree's cold relationship with her mother-in-law throughout her marriage to Rex. You could tell she was acutely thinking of both Rex and his mother in that delivery.
I miss Edie Britt, sure she was a cold hearted bitch, but even you can't deny that she tried to be their friend. This scene proves it. Sucks that it's almost over.
Yes and not in a good way. It's obvious the strategy behind the series changed too much after the initial seasons that catapulted it among the top shows. Too bad.
i love bree she is AMAZING- she has such an intense -extreme beauty yet sometimes she reminds me of a praying mantis like i expect mandibles to protrude from her face at any given moment- i dont mean that in a diss kind of way i just think if she came back in another life definitley praying mantis. : )
I'll be honest, when I first saw this scene I was angered and annoyed because Bree didn't have to do Rex like that. But then eventually I realized that Rex is a huge jerk/biggest loser, so this was both Savage and Deserving.
This scene always bothered me, because Bree's main complaint about Rex - "I spent 18 years of my life with this man... how could he not know me?" - is something that Bree herself is guilty of. When Bree's 'friend' George "confided" in her that Rex had been blabbering about their kinky time to everyone at work, she instantly believed him and was so angry at Rex that she didn't immediately drive him to the hospital when he got his heart attack, contributing to his death. George manipulated her and made her think that Rex would humiliate her. Despite spending "18 years of her life with him", she let George dupe her, even when Rex denied it. Then she gets mad at Rex for believing a doctor (who turned out to be right about the murder, just wrong about the murderER) - despite her "spending 18 years" with him. Both Bree and Rex fell victim to the manipulations of the same guy, but Bree never had to acknowledge her hypocrisy when she accused Rex of "not knowing her" despite that she, herself, clearly did not "know" Rex either, and this being a contributory factor to his death.
@@SneezyReviews I agree to an extend, however, there's a HUGE difference in thinking that your s.o. murdered you vS believing they talked about your sex life ... I mean he cheated on her with a dominatrix, I don't think it would be the worst thing he has done
@@Tuepfely Thing is, he wasn't even completely wrong. Bree was so angry about Rex's indiscretion that she delayed taking him to the doctor for who knows how long. Would Rex have survived if Bree had taken him sooner? Who knows. What we do know is that in the span of one season, Bree has done the following: 1. sent him into an anaphylactic attack when he asked for a divorce, and 2. denied him medical attention when he was literally dying, because she "found out" Rex had been indiscreet about their bedroom activities. Honestly I really don't blame Rex for thinking she might have been capable of killing him after all. Either way, there was a bit of a missed opportunity here, for Bree to introspect and consider her own moral failures with Rex - she'd done quite a lot to be "forgiven for", in my book, even if he was wrong about the poisoning.
When this show was on the air, I stopped watching after a few seasons. I just hadn’t come around to new ideas like network television having a gay son and show a lot of nudity (this was the early 2000’s). Wow that’s crazy to think I used to think like that. But now that I look back on the show, and I’ve rewatched everything and finished the series, I can absolutely see how incredible this was.
Hands down one of the best shows of all time. The acting, the script writing, the beautiful set design of Wisteria Lane, were all top notch. Plus the many interweaving mysteries, comedy, drama, you name it, oh and all the actors were really beautiful and handsome!
If you can upload the scene where Bree has a meltdown in an elevatror after learning that Rex was mudered, I would love it! I can't find it anywhere but it's the most powerful scene of the entire series!
All right, I know I'm the latest person ever, but why is nobody talking about Lynette's face? The whole time she looks at Bree with an expression on her face, like "Wtf, huh?"
Fun scene. But my all-time fave scene is when Bree pulls out the shotgun during a dinner party she’s hosting and shoots the van roof of the singing idiot in her front yard whose name I cannot recall.
I have done nothing to be forgiven for? So how about alienating her own family members for not being a perfect conservative family? Telling people her husband cries when they are being intimate in order to humiliate him? Putting house chores and appearances over emotional stability? Kicking your kids out of the house for accepting expensive gifts from their dad? Tell your son that he will go to hell for coming out of the closet?
Rex was 100x worse. Cheating on his wife, ungrateful af, telling her to make her own money then telling her she has to give up on her cooking book because she will never succeed and calling her stupid for it, always putting all the responsibilities on her, telling her once again that she’s stupid when she opens up about her feelings and then complaining in front of the therapist that she’s too cold and doesn’t express her feelings (probably bc he laugh at her face when she does it? Idk 🤔) …narcissist behavior. Rex literally rejected Andrew when he wanted to be with him because the fact is : he only took the good sides of parenting and he didn’t want to deal with the reality of being a father. At least, Bree always questioned herself and evolved…and she was literally doing everything for her family despite the lack of recognition and respect.
@@SH-uy8li When you're married to THAT, by all means cheat!! I've seen people cheat and love their awful spouses to end up achieving sane happiness. Marcia cross is an incredible actress. Why hasn’t she blown up with top role after top role after this show?
That's what I wonder all the time...🤔
What happens is that Hollywood does not know how to appreciate true talent.🤨
Maybe she did, she had twins, and maybe wanted to be a full time mom 🤷🏻♀️
Chavely Martínez I think it was her choice rather than lack of opportunities.
It was hard for actresses to cross over from tv to the big screen back in the 00s
I believe in an interview, after this show, she wanted to be a full time mother. She also went through cancer, too
